We stayed at the loft hotel for my partner's birthday weekend. On check in we decided to upgrade our room from standard as we were offered a discounted rate which included breakfast. Best money we spent all weekend. The premium rooms are fantastic. There is a free mini bar and access to a wine dispenser. We stayed on the 5th floor which has a movie theme and the decor of the room reflected this. The bed was massive and one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in!
The location is 5 minutes outside the historic centre in a quiet spot behind the presidential palace.
The staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful.
The hotel has a microbrewery and kitchen on the ground floor serving excellent craft beers and a good gastropub type menu.
The hotel is close to the train station with hourly service to Vienna at €14 return. The train takes 1 hour and is a great opportunity to see Vienna without paying Vienna accommodation prices!
Top tip ... Uber from Bratislava airport to The Loft is around €8

The hotel was very clean and modern. We had a comfort room and the bed was huge and comfortable as well. The facilities in the room were exactly as advertised, including 2 bottles of beer in the free mini bar. The breakfast had something for everybody from warm food, pastries, fruit and cold meats. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel called The Fabrica bar which served an excellent meal especially the beer which was different and produced on the premises. Would defiantly recommend both the hotel and pub.

We stayed here for 3 nights recently. On checking in we asked how much it was to upgrade to a premier room and as 20 Euro a night seemed reasonable we went for that. It was a good enough standard but I think the only difference was perhaps dressing gowns, slippers, 2 beer in the mini bar and pastry bits in the corridor - not sure if this was good value. Staff were really nice and hotel is 10 minutes walk from the train station and 15 minutes from the old town. We went to Vienna on the train one day but we were aware from prevoius posts that there are 2 stations in Bratislava, otherwise we would have just taken the next train back. We have room service breakfast 1 morning which was good value at 5 Eurro per room (as long as you have paid for breakfast as part of the booking).

The room was lovely with complimentary water and beer which was a nice touch and the hotel was in a great location. The look of the hotel was classy and the choice of foods and drinks at breakfast was good
What was not good was the attitude and rudeness of staff ranging from the front desk to breakfast staff to bar staff. They were unhelpful generally and often rude. At new year we were told by the waiters to leave at 11.55pm as the bar was closing and there were issues about our room not being cleaned which the front desk argued with us about. It was almost as though they didn’t understand that we were guests.
Shame as it was a nice hotel but definitely not 4 star service
Breakfast was hugely overcrowded as well

This is a wonderful hotel and good value for money. We arrived by train, it is a short walk and we were greeted nicely - the check-in was swift and relevant information provided without needing to ask. The room is an excellent size and the decor is very trendy. There is a free mini bar with beer, Pepsi and water, also outside the room there are some freshly baked treats which are complimentary. Location is good, but you do have to walk - about 15 mins and you will be in the central square, about 25 mins to the castle. The walk is very nice and easy to do. We also had a good breakfast here and the bar has a great atmosphere with own beer. Whilst other hotels are more central, I would definitely stay here for all the extra touches and how much nicer the hotel is generally. If I ever return to Slovakia I will stay here again.

The premium room was lovely, huge comfortable bed and contemporary industrial chic furniture plus a huge smart TV .the bathroom was fabulous. The breakfast buffet was fresh, and very varied including fresh ground coffee and fresh fruit . An on site brewery produced the ales at the bar which were great tasting and great value. A young enthusiastic staff were always on hand and particularly the hard working ( only slightly older) lady who kept control over breakfast. This is my first time at a Loft hotel but I will now be making it my hotel of choice whenever possible. Thank you to all in Bratislava who made our brief stay so special.

Great location for a weekend in Bratislava. Less than a 10 minute walk from the train station and less than 15 minutes from old town with it’s bars and restaurants.
The hotel has a retro-industrial/quirky style throughout and felt spacious. Check in was friendly and efficient. Our room was equally spacious with furnishings being a combination of solid wood and heavy steel. Decor was stylish with the retro theme continuing with prints from classic films. The bed was very firm, but had high quality cotton sheets. The room was quite warm in temperature, but the windows could be opened to cool things down. The road to the front of the hotel is quite noisy, but the glazing provides good insulation from this when closed. The ‘wine machine’ on the landing seemed to produce a lot of noise which would have been quite irritating for the rooms directly opposite but thankfully didn’t disturb us in our room. The daily pastries by the wine machine and the included mini bar with beer were nice touches, as was the included glass of perfectly acceptable house wine provided for staying in a ‘premium’ room.
Breakfast was OK. Not the warmest of welcomes from the staff each morning, but there was reasonable variety of breads, pastries, fruit, cereal, cold meats, yoghurts and hot dishes (although we didn’t try the latter).
The brew house/restaurant was fairly expensive, but had a microbrewery that produced a nice selection of beers. The wine bar was a nice area to spend a bit of time in to avoid the torrential rain before we left.

Stayed for a week and everything was great. Lovely reception and restaurant staff. Good wifi connection everywhere. Clean room, A/C, huge comfortable bed, nice bathroom. The shower was a huge rainfall shower and a smaller second shower head which was also more powerful than any other hotel's main shower head I've used! The room included a safe, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, toiletries, coffee machine and a free minibar which was refilled every day with water, Pepsi and beer, no extra cost! I would definitely recommend staying here and it was only a 10 minute walk to the old town, 15 minutes in a taxi from the airport.
Fabrika Beer Pub - excellent pub that is part of the hotel, nice courtyard to sit outside in summer. They brew their own beers which were very good. The food is also very good, and the menu is quite big. Breakfast is served here in the mornings for hotel guests, buffet style with hot, cold and continental options with a tea and coffee selection, €14 per person which we found to be reasonable value.

We stayed here for one night en-route to Vienna. It is very well positioned within walking distance of the old town, and also the train station. The rooms are really well sized and the exposed brickwork and antique furniture gives a great vibe. I did especially like the wine dispenser in the hallway outside our room! We drank and ate in the hotel brewery bar downstairs (great burgers and home crafted beer). I cannot find any fault - all staff were very friendly and happy to help. I came here on a family recommendation, and would like to pass this on to others!

We had a very pleasant stay here, the free minibar certainly helped! We found the room to be very modern and we absolutely loved the onsite brewery bar. We were here every night even if just for a drink or two and enjoyed it. Book as it gets busy! Breakfast was great too. My only complaint is to make sure you do not stay in a room directly above it - as you will hear it being turned around for breakfast very loud & very late! We did complain and received an apology, the staff made it right by offering a late checkout for us which we appreciated. Overall would definitely recommend!

Hi we got a bus from outside the airport to the main train station, you come out of the airport and the bus stands are just opposite. Bus number 61. Took about 25 minutes then hotel is ten minutes walk from main train station. The train station is last stop on bus route and you buy tickets at the bus stop, either cash or card at a machine. Very easy
There are several bars in the downtown core which is walking distance from the hotel - The Hotel can also provide some good suggestions and recommendations. There are several bars in the core area including an Irish pub and an English one.
Enjoy !!
There are more places to choose from in the Bratislava area.
