Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I was due to stay here with my partner, but it was closed due to flooding. I completely understand that it was an unforeseen circumstance, but I feel perhaps an alternative should have been provided for us, or we should have at least been notified. We arrived late at night and were left to wonder an unknown city looking for somewhere else to stay, after being offered no advise from the unhelpful man who answered the door.

Location was ok, 15 minute walk from centre and bus and tram stop right in front of it. Large room that was quite nice. Breakfast was made to order, which was a nice touch. From the 3 times that I came to the reception, twice there was no one there and I had to go and search /call them. Once they arrived, they were friendly though.

Stayed here on a Stag do. it was cheap and convenient. the rooms were plenty big enough for the two of us staying in it. the bathroom for some reason is set on the corridor side of the room not the outer side which probably explains why someone on here commented about the sewage smell - the bathroom did seem to vent into the room, not the outside world ! a small point but worth mentioning. we didn't really see much of the staff whilst we stayed "onboard" other than the bar etc which coincidentally was incredibly cheap (I seem to recall it being about £1 for a large Budvar) the boatel was a quick tram ride into town or a slightly longer walk. quite a cool little place to stay if budget is limited. bit surreal waking up in the morning to find a boat going past the "hotel" window (especially if you've forgotten you are on a boat yourself!)

this botel was booked through a stag do company, when the stag do was booked the hotel/botel was not named.when it was i looked at the other reviews & we thought we were going to hell. how wrong we were, the botel is basic but very clean, staff that spoke english were ok, breakfast was very basic but considering there were 12 of us on a stag do it was perfect for the money. other reports said they had £400 stolen fromthe room, well i would not leave £400 in a room & they do have a safe at reception which is free to use. i woul only recommend the botel for eithe a stag do/lads weekend away, hen do or back packers. not a place to stay for a romantic weekend.

We stayed here for 3 nights on a stag do i've never been so happy to return to England. We found the staff to be very rude and not helpfull at all. £700 was stolen from our room and there was no forced entry?? when the police came to the botel they removed the barrel from the door and i was left with no clothes nor bathroom kit in my third room in 3 days(the lock on my first room broke on the first night). The bathroom also had a smell of sewage and the towels were not replaced for the entire duration of our stay. I highly recomend you do not stay on this Botel.

Having stayed in some basic hotels in the past I thought I had seen it all. From the moment that we arrived (18 strong stag party) till the time we left we never saw a member of staff smile at us. After tackling the small lake that was situated at the start of the bridge to the hotel entrance we were taken down to what was basically the boiler room. The corridors were void of any lighting and the rooms were last decorated some time around 1980. The doors to several of our rooms had a tendency to get jammed shut and the passing industrial boats shook the whole ship. To top all this approx £700 went missing from our rooms when we were out during the day. On reflection it is a short holiday that we as a group will never forget...but probably for the wrong reasons.
