I spent a week at the Hotel Polom in Zilina recently. The location is nice, just a short walk from the beautiful and active Zilina city center. If given another option, there are better hotels available in the area. The Hotel Polom is clean and well maintained, but very dated. The furnishings look to be 30 years old. The shower...

We stayed at the hotel for one night and for me everything was disappointing! Almost all staff does not speak English and do not understand a single word. Restaurant service was tragic, even pitiful. Although a hotel location is very good, hotel itself have to change and re-organize a LOT of things! Rooms were ok, but like all the hotel...

This hotel has very good location across a train station and at the beginning of pedestrian zone, about 5 minutes of walking from city center. It is furnished and decorated in a way, which used to be considered a luxury hotel many years ago - revival style, including heavy curtains and drawings in massive frames. But it is amazingly clean...

This hotel will certainly please old people and Russia because of decoration "Renaissance" and "Premier Empire" (Napoleon). Rooms are OK without being great and WiFI is OK also. No big complains except the air conditionninh which is not efficient to cool the room, and 90% of hotel which has air conditionning. But the hotel is quite close to city center,...

Hotel is 10 metres from Train station and very close to the city center. Room was clean and fully equipped. Food...I think, that food is a litlle bit expensive (tuna steak without side 25Euro). I recomended to eat outside of the hotel, because meals were cold and tasteless. Good restaurant is at the city center ( 2-5min walk). It is...

I was surprised to find this Hotel in the very centre of Žilina, a nice old style hotel at a very good rate. There is a good restaurant in the Hotel and a parking just a few meters away. Friendly people at the reception.

A great hotel for a reasonable price! The Business room on the 2nd floor that I have got was nice and spacious. It was cool outside, but heating was very efficient, so that I had to open the window now and then. The window was facing an inner yard, but provided enough light and air. On the other hand, it...

We chose the Polom because the Holiday Inn and the Dubna Skala were booked out. The Polom is located at the railway station, so you should keep the window closed. It´s public space is furnished in a 19th-century-style, the rooms are practical. When we arrived at 11 PM after a business dinner, the barman was still there, but refused to...

This hotel is near the station and 3 minutes walk to the historical center. . It has its own parking nearby. The breakfast was great and dinner superb. The furnishings are classic style with lot of paintings and a massive chandelier in the lobby. The room was perfect with classic furnishings. The shower in the room included even a sauna. In...
