A beautiful little rose boutique hotel in a great location! We chose that as a temporary stop after our flight and before traveling to other city. The room was beautiful! The downside: most of the time there was nobody at the reception. Also, some guest got extremely drunk and kept wandering around the hotel constantly trying to enter our room (thinking it was their room), pissing in the corridor, shouting, and finally sleeping at the room door/in the hallway. As there was no-one at the reception, no-one took care of that situation and there was no-one to tell the problem. Despite that the hotel is a gem!

Good location and good room , clean. Was advertised as with TV with cable channels but only one international channel. I do not rate it a 4 stars hotel, just average. Breakfast in the basement was average. No bathrobe , no slippers included.

I am just finishing a 3 night stay at the Moon Garden having travelled to Vilnius with my 5 year old son. The location of the hotel is great if you want easy access to the old town (which is absolutely lovely by the way). The hotel is clean and the rooms are very homely. The breakfast is a bit basic but totally fine and my son liked it. I liked the staff who work here, they were all really nice to my son and even leant him a sledge so he could have fun on the local snow covered hills. All in all i think it is a great value for money hotel in a good location. If i came back to Vilnius I would stay here. The only downside was there is no lift so if you are staying on the 4th floor there are a few flights of stairs to climb but that was fine for me and my son.

On a busy road but overlooking grass at back so very quiet. Huge rooms with nice little touches. Breakfast in basement. Nothing special, kept running out of things. Weather was cold and the heating was not working in either of our 2 rooms. Luckily, we were only staying one night. Charming staff. Good location.

The Art Hotel Moon Garden is perfectly located for a visit to Vilnius, especially if you're some one who use the local public transport on your trips. If arriving or leaving via the airport, Bus No. 88 - runs every half hour or so, 4 stops, get on/off at Gate of the Dawn, less than 15 mins and only €1 - stops almost outside the hotel, plus both the Bus & Train Station (Stotis) are a short walk away. The hotel is very comfortable and clean, and the reception staff are very keen to help make your stay and visit to Vilnius as good as possible. As for the rooms, I can only speak for our room (302) which looked out onto the street. It was spacious with a high ceiling; had more than adequate stowage space; a large bed which proved most comfortable, and a generous-sized bathroom with - on OH's must list - a demountable shower and a magnifying mirror. (See pictures below). Breakfast is included and is taken in a beautifully bright and airy basement room, and includes an excellent array of fruit, cold meats, breads and hot options, sufficient to get you through a good part of the day. (More pictures below). Due to historical architecture constrictions the hotel cannot install an elevator so that the necessity to use the stairs may prove an issue for some relatively infirm patrons, although should anyone require assistance with luggage, I'm sure the hotel staff would be very willing to help. Again, with respect to room 302, OH appreciated that both (large) windows opened - in two directions - even though there was some increase in traffic noise, and for those that don't wish to have some outside ventilation, aircon is also available. The hotel's location right beside the Gate of the Dawn and consequent direct access to the main thoroughfares means that navigation to and from the Moon Garden plus getting one's bearings is made very easy. As a guide, the dander from hotel to the Cathedral Square is around 15 mins and Uzupis - don't forget to take your passport to get stamped at the 'Border Control' - is slightly less. All in all, I would recommend The Art Hotel Moon Garden for your Vilnius stay and I should also add that it is a bit of a bargain and great value too. Many thanks to Justinus, and indeed the other two young chaps whose names I didn't get, on the reception desk for comprehensive directions, advice and suggestions.

Where to start... The hotel is located about 50 yards from the gates of dawn which is at the top of the walking route into Vilnius centre. Fantastic location. The 88 bus from the airport takes about 17 minutes, costs 1 euro per person and the stop is right outside the hotel. The room we had was on the second floor and was brilliant. A comfy bed, tv, plenty of storage, a safe and a lovely bathroom with a really hot, powerful shower. They provide toiletries and a hair dryer. The room had two main radiators and was always warm. The breakfast was really good. Plenty of selection and something for everybody. We never left feeling hungry. The staff were so friendly and were happy to point out all of the locations on the map and give directions. They also checked opening times. They provided a kettle for our room as it didn't have one and also clean cups every day. To be honest, I couldn't fault the place and would strongly recommend it.

We stayed here for 3 nights and the hotel was beautiful, very stylish and absolutely spotless! It is located just beside the Gates of Dawn and Old Town, it is well located for the railway station and bus station. Well positioned for restaurants and sights. The room was lovely, spacious and absolutely spotless. Shower was excellent. Good free WiFi. Breakfast was good with a good variety of hot and cold foods. Staff were lovely. The hotel was on 4 floors but there was no lift. The young man offered to carry our cases though so don’t let this put you off!

The hotel is nice, clean and in an excellent position to visit the city. We stayed at room 403, in the attic, which was nice and particular: the bed was fantastic and the bathroom also, with a particular wall mad of glass with a curtain. Breakfast was good and various; the staff also friendly and nice to us, allowing also to store our luggages before check-in and after check-out. The only big problem was the lack of the elevator, four floors with a 20kg luggage was not pleasant at all!

Dear kensis1789, Thank you very much for staying with us and for taking time to share your experience with the traveller community on TripAdvisor. We do appreciate your feedback! I am pleased to know you enjoyed our central location and tasty breakfast as well as your nice and clean room. Thank you for highlighting the glass partition, which is my favourite accent of this room. The hotel is set in a listed building, with remains of the defensive city wall, which dates back to the 16th century. Due to historic nature of the building, we are not allowed to install an elevator, but we do help our guests with luggage on arrival and departure. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit to Vilnius! Yours Sincerely, Justinas Volkus General Manager
