The Monk's Bunk is the most friendly, happy, upbeat hostel I've ever stayed in. The staff are exceptional and will ensure you have a great time - with a free shot on arrival. The room and toilet facilities were very clean considering it's something of a party hostel. I was able to rent a towel for £1 which is great considering I'd forgotten mine. The guests were all very pleasant and the bar crawl is one of the best nights out I've been on, so ensure to go on that if you stay here!

Spent 2 nights for a stag and was spot on for a basic party hostel. Shared toilets and basic showers that were kept clean and rooms that could have done with better mattresses, but this is a hostel for partying in rather than getting a solid 8 hours. Staff were good fun and put up with 9 of us pissed up scottish lads. 10 min walk to old-town with a bar upstairs that serves 24 hours. Wouldn’t want to be there long term or on a working/backpack holiday, but for a drunken weekend away - perfect.

Kinda late that's I write this, since I was a few months ago there but here we go ! :) The staff is really nice & kind. You can have nice talks with them, cook with them and drink with them[It's so funny - you do have to play some drink games with them ahha!] The rooms were all clean aswell as the bathrooms & showers - also the wand paintings are awesome! If you visit Tallinn, be sure to check them out! :D Loved to stay with the people there. Greetings from Germany, Veit :D PS: I need to come again to get waisted with ya'll! 8D

Stayed here for a long weekend; despite being off-season (February) the hostel was still fairly busy. Was in a group of 10 so booked a private room which was great. Bedding could perhaps do with renewing but not a deal-breaker. This is very much a party hostel so if you're a solo traveller it's a great place to meet people. The pub crawl was ok but I probably wouldn't do it again; only went to 2 bars then the club so not much of a crawl. The club was good though and the pre-drinks in the bar are great as the staff get involved and organise drinking games. Overall a really fun place to stay in Tallinn but if you don't like party hostels this won't be for you.

The Monks Bunk is a Party Hostel so people should expect some noise and a lot of Fun Staff is excellent, everyone is super friendly and helpful Room (4 bed dorm) was spacious and clean. Beds could be slightly more comfortable though. Bathroom was well maintained as well Location is pretty good as well, just a short walk from old town. Experience: This is where it stands out, as long as you know what you are getting yourself into its fantastic. The Bar in the hall is perfect way to meet people & as mentioned the staff is pro active with hosting a few drinking games or having some kind of an event. Overall a great place to stay and to have fun.

We traveled to the monks bunk in a bigger group to party one night in Tallinn. Unfortunately the hostel was quite dirty especially the toilet on the floor where our room was. The blankets and mattresses need to be replaced imho very uncomfortable. We booked one big room and received keys but the room door was not secure at all. We could see that it was crashed open multiple times and one window in the door was replaced with a thin wood layer which could be removed easily and open the door. Also they requested us to leave a passport (not driving license) at the lobby until we leave because we have been a group.. this is very very unusual. Instead please provide the possibility to leave a cash deposit. The location itself was good not in the direct center but close by.

Honestly: BEST HOSTEL EVER! super friendly staff, nice common area, great specials in the bar and around town. If you look for a place tio get social, meet a lot of nice people and have fun thats the place for you! Word of advice tho: DO NOT SCARE THE STAFF. Been there. Did that. Got a bloody lip in return. 10/10 would recommend and go there again anytime!

I had a really great time in the hostel, the rooms are very comfortable and the bed is nice to sleep in. The people who work at the hostel were really nice and helpful through my whole stay. Have to stay that Leo the pub crawl leader really made my nights and raised the atmosphere every night we went out. Would recommend to any solo traveller or group

For a party place it is very clean. Very easy to meet the staff and travellers, great parties and the location is perfect as it is next to the old town. The pub crawl is a great way to experience the nightlife in Tallinn!!

I stayed at Monks bunks a few weekends ago on a drunken weekend away with the lads. The hostel is clean, secure and the staff are brilliant. They are really good fun (put up with drunken Englishmen for a start) and always have a smile. Pub crawl is a great laugh and definitely worth doing, plus beer pong and drinking games before. First hostel I've stayed in for nearly 10 years and had a great time. Will definitely stay again, as apparently Tallin is lovely city just didn't manage to see much of it apart from pubs!
