Detailed Reviews
A short walk from passenger terminal A, Old town and with tram stops close by, the location of the hotel was very central and easy to access. The facade has been preserved, and the hotel itself is built within the former factory. The hotel itself is modern, and common areas are tidy. The room was clean, but showed some wear and tear, and sadly the air conditioner managed only to produce noise - an issue I informed the reception on my first day but which was never corrected and didn't hear about since. The window opened to hallway and not outside, the room was constantly a bit too warm and humid. The bed was comfortable though, and the room was otherwise very quiet.

The hotel is enclosed in a glass "box" so some of the rooms don't have direct view to the street. It was one of the few hotels that offered the possibility to check-in late, therefore it was perfect for our night arrival. The room was cozy and spacious with lots of storage for personal belongings, a desk and a minibar. It was like promised in the pictures and had comfortable mattress, international TV channels, kettle and refreshments. The bathroom had shampoo, conditioner, body wash and even a bottle opener! The breakfast was good with reasonable selection.

Recently stayed here in this hotel, generally a nice hotel, everything as it should be, breakfast had a wide selection from cold to hot foods all of which was good from what we tried, very little breakfast tea, but plenty of options with green teas and fruits teas. The hotel is ideally located close to the old town and great spot to explore from and close to the sea if you need a head clearing walk. The hotel itself could do with a little TLC as the carpets looked a little tired but I’d still come back, next time it will be in the summer.

This hotel is absolutely 10/10 if you’re looking for a peaceful, cosy hotel to staying near the old town.
It takes only 2 minute to walk to the Paks Margareeta (edge of the old town). Very clean room, equipment is standard. What a great bonus - bathrobe at the hotel room. Personal is extremely friendly! Breakfast is continental, everything was fresh. Absolutely amazing black coffee! My ferry’s departure was at the evening time but I could kept my luggage after the check-out time.
By arriving I asked a quiet room and I got one. Slept very well.
Booking was made via booking.com. They hade a great deal for two nights staying.
Thanks guys for making my staying so comfortable!

Nice hotel, a few steps from the center, spacious and bright rooms with air conditioning (which in these places is not obvious).
It has paid parking to be booked.
Rich and plentiful breakfast regarding the salty, less rich for sweet.
The helpful staff, we also stayed an extra night without having planned it.
Recommended.

In a nutshell - I wasted around 30 minutes driving in circles and it was just impossible to find the hotel.
I tried google and GPS in my car - no lack.
Google will show you that you’re somewhere close but you won’t get there.
I called them to ask about their location and the receptionist didn’t help either.
I canceled the reservation as I obviously couldn’t get to the place and they charged me for the stay.
Beware. Maybe you’ll be luckier but it’s really easier to find another hotel that’s easy to find

Hello, Thank you for your review. It is first time situation for us that someone have not found the hotel. It was very unfortunate to hear from you that your Mercedes' navigation could not lead you to the hotel. I hope that, the fact that we agreed to refund the reservation you paid for, made your stay in Tallinn a little bit better. Best wishes, Henri Kilk / General and Front Office Manager

Hestia Hotel Ilmarine is good for a night or two but not if you are planning to spend a considerable amount of time in Tallinn. The rooms are decent but not the most modern or comfortable and a couple of pillows showed stains and signs of use. Breakfast was decent as well and staff were very courteous. Stayed here for one night at the tail end of a trip before flying out of Tallinn the next morning and it was perfect for that. However, suggest staying in old town if you really want to experience the city

The hotel is located by the road just outside the old town. Our window was facing the parking lot on the ground floor. In retrospect, I realize that it would have suited me better to live in the old town or in the newer part, everything would have been a little closer then.
The room was not cleaned. Dirty floor. Walls and tables worn. Coarse black long hairs were on the floor of the room and in the bathroom. There was no shampoo and conditioner. It was crazy hot in the room! You sweated half to death! After much hassle we got the "ventilation" started which according to the receptionist would get the room colder in two hours. There was no difference at all... Opened the window instead. And after a while even the door. The air was still. Nothing helped. We weren't the only ones opening doors and windows. It was way too hot!
The bar was advertised, which throughout our stay was closed.
The dining room where we had breakfast really looked like a dining room, omys. There was cheese and ham and eggs and bacon and stuff. But everything was tasteless. No big shot.
We were here two nights, do not recommend this hotel.

Excellent spot just outside the old city. Room and breakfast were great value for the price. The restaurant was closed, except for breakfast, so can’t judge that. Rooms were well laid out in a well converted old factory building with excellent bar and restaurants close by.

Good location, close to the old town. The rooms are dated, even the bathroom should be reviewed. Poor quality buffet breakfast and reception staff unable to give information about the city, as well as giving incorrect information.

I can't honestly remember but I don't think there were, no.
I would suggest jumping in a taxi, it only costs a few euro to get from the airport to the Old Town.
