Almost filthy. It's rather a dormitory mostly made of 4/5 beds room. The staff is very helpful. It's situated in the core of Centraltirgus, the biggest covered market of Europe, housed in famous Zeppelin Hangars. So in daytime the surroundings are a gay mess where you can find anything you like. In nightime the hostel gets more sordid, but this...

I stayed here in July 2011 whilst on a trip through the Baltic States. My first throught was the location was convenient to the bus station. This was where the positives ended. The hostel seemed to be in one of the sheds in the market which is ok during the day, but not nice at night. The staff were ok,...

One of the cheapest hostel (in this location). And the price fits the standard it is offered, just simple budget option. What was nice - we got our room just when we came there in the morning, without waiting to check-in hour. Walking distance to the station and city center.

The staff are nice, that's the end of the good news. Arrived in pitch dark through an empty market place, to a pitch black stairwell to be greeted by a corridor full of men wandering in boxers. The 8 bed dorm contains a walk-through to another dorm and is the nosiest (club outside until 2am, market starts about 5am) most...

Stayed in this hostel with friends for one night. It was the cheapest hostel we could find, however, relying on their own webpage expectations were still higher. Sure, it might be a matter of luck, but we got an eight-bed room which was transitive (and walked though once in a while) and the room had only one key itself. We...

A strange yet interesting place. You really feel the communist history of Riga here, in the heart of the HUGE market (a ghost town at night and packed during the day) surrounded by zeppelin hangers. We loved the old Russian rugs and the architecture of the hostel, but everything looks worn and tired. There is NO kitchen, nor are there...

A squalid hostel near Riga's central market surrounded by human misery (beggers and addicts).

We stayed in the hostel for 4 nights (4 people), first of all I have to say that the hostel is very clean, and the owner,an australian man, is very very nice and very helpful. The hostel position is in the middle of the central markets, so in the morning when you get out you can buy everything, fruits, meat, drinks.......
