Extremely convenient location for the old town and airport bus. We were surprised it was 4 star as the room was quite dark with very standard furniture and plain decor (we were expecting something a bit more art nouveau style). The bathroom was clean and water hot and good pressure, though quite small. The staff were friendly and helpful and... More

For a base to explore Riga for a few days we were pleased to have found the Garden Palace. Located right on the edge of Old Town, the impressive frontage includes a useful restaurant and separate tea room within the site. The ground floor reception and corridors were quite plushly decorated in a classic style, which didn't quite extend to... More

I spent only one night here in a single room (quite small, but OK for one night). The carpet on the floor had stain marks on it, but the rest of the room was OK. I had to unplug the fridge (minibar) because it was so noisy and located next to the bed, so I wouldn't be able to sleep.... More

Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 5 nights in September and we were really pleased our visit. We paid about £200 between us for the stay, which we both agreed was great value. The hotel is quite old fashioned, but very clean and comfortable inside. There's free WiFi, you don't need to ask for the password, this comes in... More

For that money, the best simple hotel, You can find in Riga's Old Town. Good location. You can easily walk to most of the central places. Rooms are a little worn out but clean. Also the brekfast is very good.

Excellent location in the old town which is where you want to be and well placed for the trolley buses and open topped bus.We were lucky to get a room with a patio area on the rooftop but the room itself was poorly equipped and has no tea/coffee maker which is a must as far as I am concerned. The staff... Nice hotel with good location. Close to a lot of attractions. Nice and helpful staff, clean rooms and good wifi. Minibar at the room. Good selection at breakfast. It could have been better soaps in the bathroom.

The location of the hotel is simply ideal, in the epicenter of the historic city. The lobby and courtyard are well maintained and decorated nicely, but our room looked neglected. It was large, with massive ceilings, but the carpet was worn through and stained, the wall paper was scratched and the furniture was old and a bit bockety. However, it... More

Hotel is not 4 star, but 3 star, it needs some improvement work to the whole hotel. Staff need to smile more, breakfast was good. Room needs work, carpets filthy, broken wardrobe door catch, soap dispenser tray cracked in bathroom, poorly located shower does not work properly, scrubby looking walls, no Tea or Coffee facilities . Good location, if you... More
