There isn't much of a choice for lodging in Ventspils. This little hotel is more photogenic than a great place to stay. The breakfast was very generous. Cooked eggs, delicious bacon, and cold cuts. The room was cramped, street noisy with bright street light. Bed and pillow uncomfortable.

This is a charming small hotel set in the cute bit of Ventspils where it is all painted wooden houses and cobbled streets. Our room was at the front of the hotel, which, unfortunately looked onto a fairly busy road. Traffic and people made the night a bit noisy for me. Other than that, we did enjoy the stsy here....

This was a very cosy old country hotel, refurbished from an old house. It felt very nice and authentic, the staff were very attentive and pleasant. I especially enjoyed personal attention at breakfast. Still I had some sleep problems due to the fact that outside my window was a neon sign, and the window curtains did not block that light...

We had a room in the backyard building. Rooms ( in total 4) in this building have a bathroom on the floor to be shared. We had 2 rooms and no other guests. Big kitchen net was available. Breakfast was very basic. Location is good for the walk to city center and beach.

Great little hotel within easy reach of supermarkets - stayed for three nights - would have given 5 stars but no tea and coffee in room and no hairdryer and only one pillow each! Other than that great breakfast and staff were very helpful and friendly very accommodating

Half a mile from the Old City center, off-beat, comfortable and great value. Road is fairly busy during the day, so the rooms facing the street are a bit noisey. Curtain are thin and there is a street light right outside #6's window. Good value overall.

Basic but clean and comfortable. We had room 1 on the ground floor next to reception. It was a big room with twin beds. I was concerned that the curtains were very thin but there are shutters which were closed at bedtime. Breakfast was okay given the size of the place.

I'm sorry to give only two stars, as the staff were very nice, and the place has a pleasant, cozy atmosphere. However, the bed had a slatted base that was completely worn out (came loose) and the mattress was too thin, so sleep comfort, which I find the most important aspect of a hotel, was not adequate. Also, the room...

Double room was comfortable, clean and roomy. All staff were attentive and friendly. Good breakfast made at requested time. Patio with tables and chairs in quiet back courtyard. I prefer small lodges/hotels such as this one.

Built like a lodge. Warm and friendly staff. Close to the park and the beach and just a few minutes walk from Olympic center. I enjoyed my stay here better then in most classic hotels. Wi-fi service could be better but in generall I was happy here .

“Better rooms are in the main building”

“We had a room with a window on the street side - but it was quite...so I would not be worried for the noise coming from the main street. We were lucky to have noisy Party Animals only for one night out of 4 when they thought they owe the place, however, staying in a smaller place like this you should consider also this. But I think that the organization is great and people who work there are very kind and welcoming. Thanks to them - we had good experience. Would go back again.”
