I could not have wanted more for our first weekend break after lockdown. This absolutely beautiful B&B offers a truly amazing relaxing stay. Jacky and Huw are the perfect hosts, they offered a warm and welcoming feel from arrival right through to check out.
The breakfast menu is wholesome and absolutely scrumptious, the perfect way to fuel up before exploring the beautiful views surrounding this idyllic B&B.
We were only due to spend one night here before heading over to Wales for our second night, however due to Welsh lock down restrictions being different to England we decided we would stay our second night with them also. Both Jacky and Huw could not of been more helpful with giving us ideas and suggestions of where to go and explore.

We stayed in the Woodcroft room which offered an extremely comfortable and large bed, with an en-suit with a separate shower and a elegant roll top bath. The room was well stocked with tea, coffee and water and the whole room was spacious and spotless. The Woodcroft room also has doors that open up onto their terrace area which looks out into their colourful garden.

I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice quiet escape, somewhere that offers peace and tranquility with the option to travel out not too far to explore some even more beautiful sites.

B&B simply does not describe this beautiful place, it felt more like, home from home.

Thank you Jacky and Huw!

Hi Emma, Thank you soooo much for such an incredible review. You've taken so much time and trouble, it's hugely appreciated. We couldn't have asked for lovelier first guests to bring us out of the Covid crisis, so your kind words gave us a spring in our step and a huge boost going forward. And the flowers you gave me ..... that's a first! Look forward to welcoming your mother later in the year. Thanks again both. x x Ps. We've got the Hot Tub - it'll be ready for you next time!

Hubby and I stayed in the loft for a few nights and so glad we opted for this place, it was gorgeous.

The loft is absolutely spotless, very tastefully decorated with everything in it you need.

The host Jacky was a lovely lady and so welcoming.

Thanks again Jacky for having us and we cannot wait to return 😀

The Broadrock It’s beautiful. We stayed in the Woodcroft Suite . It’s in the main house on the upper floor. With 2 windows overlooking the front and window overlooking the beautiful back garden . A Hugh king size bed . A settee . A feature fireplace, the bathroom had a roll top bath ,separate shower unit . Dressing gown and slippers . And your own terrace area with a brand new hot tub .
There’s also a downstairs lounge area and games room with pool table , tv, and honesty bar .
Breakfast was absolutely yummy. Lovely healthy menu choice and well presented.
Parking area .
We will definitely be coming back ,

We have just spent 3 nights at Broadcroft and can highly recommend it. It’s a beautiful part of the country and the Woodcroft was spacious, comfortable and very well appointed. The option for the hot tub on the terrace was a lovely treat too.

Huw and Jacky were perfect hosts throughout our stay, unobtrusive but very attentive. Nothing was too much trouble for them.

We left very well rested and hope to return in the very near future. Top marks!

Hi both, Glad you enjoyed your stay with us, and it's so lovely when guests enjoy the beauty of our location. Our new Hot Tub on the private terrace is definitely going down a storm, and we're told is well worth the minimal charge for the added treat and luxury. Hope to see you soon. :-)

Four of us stayed in Clock Cottage, part of the Broadrock accommodation. It's a wonderful cottage, very clean, well looked after and beautifully furnished, and a perfect location from where to explore the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean. Stunning view of the River Wye just outside the back gate! Huw and Jacky just could not have been better hosts. They always went the extra mile to ensure we had a great stay, even down to Prosecco on ice, and chocolates, to help make the special birthday we were celebrating while there that little bit more special. Huw even gave us a lift in to Chepstow and back that night so that we could enjoy our meal out without having to drive. What a star! Don't hesitate to book Clock Cottage, it's fab!

Hi to our Fab Four, Thanks so much for your wonderful descriptive review Bridgit. It's so good for other guests thinking to book BroadRoc to see what's on offer here. It was a pleasure to have you all, loved listening to all the fun and laughter you had as a group, and the ping pong banter was just wonderful. Glad you girls had such a lovely birthday too, and think Huw quite missed his morning chats with Chris after you left! Say hi to all, and hopefully we'll have you back at some point in the future. :-)

Jacki & Huw are very friendly hosts and can't do enough for you. They arranged a restaurant booking for us and also gave us a lift to the restaurant. The accommodation is prestine & very modern indeed. I would recommend this B&B to anyone who appreciates value for money.

Very many thanks for your kind words and review both. It was lovely that you chose BroadRock to celebrate your Anniversary, just a shame you had to rush off for work. Well, as promised we now have our Hot Tub just outside your room on the terrace, so you'll have to come back for a re-run!! Many thanks again. :)

We’ve booked The loft at Broadrock B&B to celebrate our 10th Wedding Anniversary. We were not disappointed. It was everything we wanted and more. Jacky was most helpful from booking to arranging anniversary banners and Prosecco on ice for our arrival. We had three nights but really wanted longer and will definitely be retuning again one day in the future. Chepstow is only a five minute drive away and we can thoroughly recommend the Italian Restaurant over looking the river (Panevino) Tintern is also very nice and Monmouth. Lastly what made the weekend was the lovely hot tub it just finished off each day with a glass of wine.

This is hands down the best place we have stayed for some time! We stayed in The Loft in Broadrock and we cannot wait to return.
The place itself is gorgeous. The decor is lovely and it is kept spotless. There's also everything you need included. From a fridge, to dressing gowns, from a pizza baking tray to an iron!
The hot tub is the perfect way to unwind and is right outside your back door on a beautiful terrace. The bed is big and comfortable and the bathroom has the most beautiful bath!
We made use of the downstairs games room twice during our stay. It provided us hours of fun. This is also kept spotlessly clean and everything you need is included.
If this wasn't enough, the hosts Jacky and Huw are wonderful. Nothing is too much and they are very patient and friendly. Jacky even collected us from the pub when we got caught in a downpour!
There are not enough good words for this place.
Go! You will not regret it.

From the moment we arrived, we had fallen in love with this unique, I’d even call it boutique!!
This unique boutique has so much class, it’s made me want to refurb my whole house!!
We were given ‘Woodcroft’ a beautifully done out spacious large room with a comfy big bed.
We were then surprised with a hot tub on our terrace!! It was just perfect.
Huw and jacky, are so lovely too, the home made Breakfast was to die for. I’d opt for the fluffy pancakes again, when we return which will hopefully be this year!
My fiancé was so impressed too. I highly recommend this place for anyone thinking about booking, you won’t regret it!

Awww, thanks Charlotte. Thanks also for the amazing video you did. I'm trying to get it on our Facebook, but technology is arguing with me!! Glad you also loved the Hot Tub on your private terrace. The Woodcroft is very spacious, and we're only opening that as B & B at the moment due to Covid. We want guests to come and feel completely safe, so we let the other rooms out as a Self Catering Holiday Let. You're welcome back anytime. Ring and book for best prices though, as we can discount to rooms! :-)

Excellent place to stay for the Jubilee long weekend. I stayed in the Loft room which was clean and comfortable with a kitchen area with everything you need, and luxury ensuite with bath & shower.
Tea & coffee provided, & milk in the fridge.
Internet available.
Patio area to sit and relax.
The views are lovely, and it is a great place to stay for nearby walking, cycling or just relaxing. Chepstow is only a 5 minute drive away.
Would love to return.

Is the breakfast area/ dining room a communal dining table, or are there separate tables?
Answer from Jacqueline K

Hi Lisa, We have a combined Games/Dining room which has a Pool Table, 3 separate dining tables, and a big corner sofa with a large Sky TV. During Winter months, we often light the wood burner in there too. Generally, the room is only used for games in the evening though. Hope this helps. Jacky/BroadRock

Hello Tom H...thank you for your concern over this so called misrepresentation of location, if you have lost any sleep over this then I do apologise. Being from Taunton you're obviously extremely familiar with the Welsh borders and in particular the Chepstow, Monmouthshire, Gloucestershire boundary. Before you took the time to write your uninformed comments you obviously were not aware that BroadRock has a Newport postcode NP16 7HY and sits under the Tourism of Wales board despite being in Gloucestershire. All contact details on my web site state the correct address and I would have no reason to fabricate this as it would have no benefit to my business. Thank you for your comments and hopefully this has satisfied your concerns.
