My fiancé & I just came back from a 2 night Glamping trip at Rankins Farm. This was our first trip since coronavirus and we felt extremely comfortable and safe during our visit. All of the pods are 7m apart and with your own outdoor seating & fire-pit BBQ it makes social distancing super easy. There were lots of antibacterial points around the farm and we paid an extra £10 to have the pod fogged before arrival.

We were greeted by Sarah & Tony upon arrival who were super friendly and inviting. They gave us a tour of the pod and we were given a trolley to help take all of our luggage to the pod. The cabins were fully equipped with everything you could need - including a welcome basket and refreshments in the fridge, which was a lovely addition. The location for these pods were great, with lots to do during the day. We went to Bull Inn which is just a 2 min drive from here and has the most spectacular views.

We had so much fun and we are looking forward to booking another trip here in the future!

We’ve been to Rankins Farm glamping a few times now where we have booked 6 pods exclusively with our friends. The location is perfect, sectioned off amongst gorgeous plum and Apple orchards with views into the distance and trees all around. The play area and pavilion gave our children the independence to play while the adults cooked dinner and socialised in confidence their families were safe. There’s loads of space to play ball games to keep the children entertained.

The pods are always clean, tidy, well laid out with all the necessary utensils and cleverly colour coded so if they do get mixed up with another pod, you can easily retrieve them. Beds are comfy, shower rooms are clean, tidy and the fridge a great addition so you can plan your food for the weekend.

Overall it’s a great place for a glamping and I would throughly recommend it. We’ve been back again and again and it’s always been great.

A beautifully maintained site with great little pods. Everything was clean and the pods were well stocked with breakfast cereals, marshmallows, tea and coffee, cooking and cleaning equipment etc. The kids loved the small adventure playground and found plenty to do in site. The local pub does really decent pub grub and is a nice walk from the campsite (if you avoid the main road).

We had a great time at Rankins Farm. The location is beautiful, and there is a great pub within walking distance. The pod was very clean and contained all the things you needed plus some nice touches like local apple juice and marshmallows. Tony and Sarah were very friendly and helpful, and overall I would highly recommend.

We spent two nights at Rankins Farm and loved every minute! The location outside a small picturesque village was beautiful, the fruit farm itself added real charm and atmosphere, while it was excellently places for local amenities, major towns and cities, and the coast. The accommodation itself was extremely well equipped and well-proportioned, we didn’t feel cramped and the owners had provided everything we could possibly need. The outdoor BBQ facilities and the Beast were a great touch! We will definitely be back, and will be recommending them to everyone we know. Thanks to Sarah and the family for an incredible mini break!

Just got home from our third stay and yet again we can’t fault it. We were the last of the six pods to arrive on Monday afternoon and were met by the owners Sarah and Tony who as before were more than welcoming. Stayed in “Damson” this time having stayed twice before in “Victoria” the only difference is the colour of the kitchen utensils and new funky outdoor chairs. There’s a very cosy double bed and a two seater sofa bed and as before we all slept very well. Great en-suite shower room and a perfectly designed kitchenette. Given the size of the pods, I’d guess about 15’ x 9’ there’s so much fitted in. We spent very little time indoors other than sleeping and showering etc as had such great weather. Cooked on the fire pit the first night and used ‘the beast’ pizza oven night two. There’s a little play area for children and our nine year old loves the large swing. Played boule in the gravel and almost got quite good at it. Huge amount of space which could have been filled with at least another six pods but there’s no hint of that being in the offing. Other than a swimming pool you really couldn’t ask for more. A great place to relax and get back to basics but with the added bonus of quite a few modern conveniences. We will 100% be going back and are trying to justify hiring all six pods for an event or something. Thanks again to Sarah and Tony

We had a fantastic weekend break at Rankins Farm with our 2 children. On arrival we were warmly greeted by Tony and Sarah who showed us to our pod and ran through the facilities. The pod is fully equipped with kitchen (fridge, hob, sink), toilet and shower room. We were provided with fire wood for the provided fire pit which we enjoyed cooking on for both nights of our stay.

Our children loved playing on the trim trail and swing. The large grassed area is immaculately kept (like a bowling green) where we all enjoyed playing cricket, frisbee and kite flying.

The weather when we stayed got to -2 overnight but the pod stayed toasty warm even without the underfloor heating on. We were lucky enough to have clear skies at night and the stars were amazing.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the immaculate pod and on our next visit will make sure we make use of the pizza oven.

Many thanks to Tony and Sarah for enabling us to have such an amazing weekend family break.

Matt and Liz

Owners Sarah and Tony - who were so informative and welcoming - have thought of everything to kit out the pods, from tea and milk to soap and toilet roll, all the little bits! Lovely location, plenty of outdoor space for everyone, play space for the kids, chill out areas for the grown ups. Some toys and games were provided. All pods have a gravel walk way to them from the dedicated parking area, meaning no muddy shoes if it rains - very important! For me personally, would like a cupboard/cargo net to store food but I am a bit of an over prepper. Had a lovely few days, would love to return.

What I loved about Rankins farm was the personal touchs...we were met upon arrival by the hosts and shown to our pods...with a briefing and chat about the area...
The pods are lovely and clean and the entire site is kept immaculate.
The pods have literally everything you need in them, you dont need to bring anything with you that you normally would need for a camping trip, apart from food!
There were lovely little touches like milk in the fridge and marshmallows for toasting!
We were really lucky with the weather and managed to do a BBQ both nights in the fire pit (wood provided).
This was our first time glamping and we loved it so much we booked to come back at easter!
Great place for a little staycation!

Rankins Farm is perfect place for a relaxing break for all ages. The pods are cosy, warm and spotless. The hosts Tony and Sarah have put so much thought into their guests every need.

The site is peaceful and safe where the adults can relax as the children enjoy the play area.
We always have a pizza night thanks to 'The Beast' outdoor pizza oven.

We have already booked several pods for next year and it will be our fifth visit!

The whole family right down to and especially the grandchildren love it!
