Our first time in Skagen and it was fantastic! Really pleased with the location right on walking street of this this quaint village by the sea. A smalll boutique hotel, really well priced. We were a family of five so we had two rooms. Comfortable and clean the rooms were spacioius and bathrooms spotless. Fantastic two course meal delicous and... More

As most other things in Skagen, the prices are outrageous compared to what you get. The hotel has a great location. You can walk all over town and Grenen is not far away. The room was clean, but the interior very basic. The bathroom fan sounded like a motorbike starting up. We asked to borrow an iron, but they did... More

Old fashioned forniture, small bathroom with a very poor soap kit. Rooms not big and clean enough. The carpet smells bad. There isn't a private parking area, except from a very few places Excellent breakfast Good, but nothing special courses at the restaurant. And about fish and sea food they were supposed to serve in a sea town...they gave only... More

It's about 25 years ago I last stayed in Foldens Hotel. It was a great experience that time, and the same this time. I came with my son and his wife and child to Skagen without booking so I called Foldens Hotel and got Gitte, the owner, on the phone. I explained the situation and she could offer us a... More

Starting with the good stuff: the staff was friendly, great location in central Skagen and clean hotel. The breakfast buffet was only ok and could have been of better quality although there was a good selection of different foods. Our room did not have WiFi which was a disappointment. We knew we would not have wc or shower in the... More

This is a small hotel - pub style with a public bar on ground floor and rooms upstairs, there is no lift in this hotel, so leave the heavy staff in the car, they offer free parking (if available). The hotel is in the middle of the town so walking to restaurant at the port, shops everything. The hotel on... More

The hotel was in the middle of Skagen town center easy to find all the activities with good Danish breakfast and fabulous food in the restaurant. The rooms were very small and certain facility was no sauce on the hairdryer, refrigerator and telephone in the room, was no lift, but overall a hotel I can really recommend. Low in the... More

We found this restaurant (part of a hotel of the same name, but open to the general public) at about 9 p.m. on a Friday evening, after a long and arduous walk to the northernmost tip of Denmark, where the Baltic Sea meets the North Sea. My vegetarian dining partner had a fine omelette with green salad, and various types... More

Foldens is a very cosy hotel with half board and friendly staff. It was convenient that the hotel was very close to the station as we arrived by train late at night. The hotel was in one end of the main street, a pedestrian. In the other end was the ocean. It is a fantastic light over land and sea.... More
