Stunning views from the room's balcony. Easy to find, next to causeway to Monemvasio island. Public parking available right next door. Rooms have airconditioning and fridge. Friendly staff. We stayed on second floor- no elevator but they offered to help with the suitcases. We booked for 1 night but decided to stay for two.

Very close to the bridge to the island of Monemvasia and Monemvasia Old Town. Nice but not so big room to the street and a view to the island, not much noise from the trafic. nice comfortable bed, new renovated bathroom, closet OK but not so clean, A/C, POOR WiFi (best in the reception or outside on the terrace), breakfast... The location is great (just at the entrance of Monemvasia). Very good value for money. Friendly staff. The rooms are sufficiently spacious. The only drawback in our experience is that the beds were not very comfortable, but overall recommended.

I recently stayed at Hotel Aktaion for two nights and my experience went from bad to worse from the minute I walked in. Firstly they did not have my booking even though the owner confirmed it on the phone. They managed to give me a room with water views after I made a fuss. Bathroom was horrible, mattress was unacceptable... More

I made a reservation in this hotel. I would pass there after visiting the Elafonisos Island. I called them several times but the receptionist couldn't speak English. I wrote them also an e-mail about transport support from Pounta to Monemvasia but i could'nt get an answer. So i cancelled my reservation. I am glad to see their quality before going... More

Checked into Hotel Aktaion after walking across the causeway to the "kastro," old town, below the fortress. Many hotels there either closed or too expensive. Hotel Aktaion was well priced, rooms are large, clean, dark (during the night) and very comfortable, overlooking the boat/fishing harbour with views to the rock of Monemvasia. Woman at reception had good English and was... More

We travelled through Greece in Oct 2012. Most of our accommodation was booked before we left home however we were less certain of our dates for our stay in Monemvasia so didn't book in advance and thank goodness we didn't. Initially our plans were to stay on the Castle at a very expensive hotel but when we got off the... More

Almost no one speaks english here. We made last minute reservations at this hotel, but it ended up turning out O.K. Compared to the other hotels in Greece we stayed in, I liked the rooms and beds the best here. No real views to speak of, small bathroom that leaks water everywhere when you use the shower (typical in Greece).... More

Good location if you want to visit the old upper town. It's just a bridge away and to go and visit the old town you can park the car along the way (if you don't arrive for dinner). The parking lot is just behind the hotel, by the port.

This is an old hotel which is partly renovated. The room was clean and in good condition but the bathroom could do with a renovation. The location is very good, close to all amenities and next to the bridge leading to the castle. A public parking place is available at a very close distance. Free WiFi is available at the... More
