We stayed for a couple of days and could not have enjoyed the accommodations better. Friendly reception, nice clean room, and views that are just beautiful. Ask for the room with a terrace - nice to sit out and drink a glass of wine.

Once I figured out the AC (remote was out of batteries) good room, although in a single it was small versus the bed so I whacked my leg a few times which might be an issue for anyone mobility challenged (granted, the entire town is walled and would probably be an issue). The breakfast set up was in a close... More

Really enjoyed staying in this very traditional set of rooms for 5 nights in April 2015. We had a bedroom, sitting room, small kitchenette, bathroom and terrace area with table and chairs. Ancient feel to the place, including the low doorways (mind your head!) and wooden front door (which can be difficult to open!) Loved the olde worlde feel and... More

Monemvasia is a very unique place. We liked this little village best during a 6 city tour of Greece in December 13/January 14. Looks as if the place did not change much during the last several hundred years. We stayed at the suite with sea view at a low season price of 80 euros and we thought it was reasonable.... More

The hotel is located at a perfect spot. It is 3 mins far from the entry of the castle and 1 min from the main square. The staff is super kind and helpful. They are really responsive to anything and always very positive. There is free coffee and cake in the reception, which is very nice and practical as you... More

Monemvasia is truly one of a kind in cities to visit. This hotel is not far from the main gate to the city. You must tote your bags a couple blocks on rough rock strewn streets but it is totally worth it. We shared a two bedroom suite with another couple. The 2nd bedroom was small but adequate. The suite... More

we had the suite, ideal for a couple with a young boy. Toula was very helpful and also the girl at the reception. The room was very nice, perfect decor to go with the town, no breakfast included but you could have coffee or tea at the reception with cakes; there was also a kitchen though. I only think the... We arrived on a spur of the moment trip to Monemvasia and managed to find a room at Goulas. Goulas is situated inside the castle which is definitely where you want to be if staying in Monemvasia. The room was spotless and very reasonably priced. The balcony was amazing! Bigger than the room with amazing views of the castle behind... More

We had planned on staying one night, but we so enjoyed our room, our welcome, and the location that we stayed another night. And then - another. It was a very hard guesthouse and community to leave. The large terrace overlooking the sea was enough to guarantee a desire for a return visit, but the warm hospitality made our visit... More

This is a traditional Byzantine house at the very front of the city, close to the sea. We booked 2 nights in advance. They had asked if we would call to let them know when we were coming, so we called as we were leaving Mycenae. When we arrived, we stopped at the little store & bakery in the town... More
