We've just enjoyed a truly memorable week in this delightful small hotel. Catherine, Christophe and the team are unfailingly friendly and helpful and care about their guests. Our room [Buganvilia] was spacious and spotless, the personal welcome warm and generous, and the breakfasts are imaginative and attractive. The location could not be better especially without a car.

We stayed at Tavira House for one night but would have gladly stayed longer. We arrived later in the evening and the staff were available and made us feel at home quickly. The room itself was uniquely decorated and had both an ornate standing bath tub and walk in shower! The bed was large although a little hard. The rest...

Decent sort of place in a heavily restored building in an area of Tavira, convenient for its centre although not for the motor-car (parking) People running the place seem friendly enough although one got the slight impression they were inexperienced in the running of an hotel - perhaps hampered by the ''design over practicality'' of the building? For example: One...

Wonderful experience in this lovely boutique hotel only a 2 minute walk from main square. The owner, Christophe, met us at the front door and immediately made us feel welcome as if it was our own home. The room was beautifully appointed. Slept great. The bathroom magnificent. The common areas are stunning with jazz playing in the background. Breakfast was...

What a relaxing place! It starts with a warm welcome from the lovely people running the place to a small coffe on the terass and then entering the beautifully decorated rooms. Every room has its own style and decor. Everything with this hotel is tip top. The inside lounge area as well as the outside terass and relaxing area are...

Excellent service, very nice people running the hotel! The hotel and its rooms are very tastefully decorated. And the location is great: in the city center, walking distance to good restaurants. Don't forget to relax on the roof-top terrace.

This is a stunning and sympathetically renovated house in the centre of Tavira close to everywhere, restaurants water taxis etc. The staff ate superb and were extremely welcoming . Very accomodating with our luggage as we arrived in the morning. We had the suite which leads directly onto the terrace. Beautiful decor, and quiet and relaxing ambience. The breakfast was...

Loved the location but sadly it was only available for one night - two would be perfect. It was close to walk to town and to the boat to the beautiful Tavira island beach. The house itself was beautifully renovated with a lovely rooftop patio to enjoy a glass of wine. Very good breakfast. The suite had a double bed...

The Tavira House is quaint and beautiful with extremely welcoming and helpful staff. The bedrooms are very comfortable and the dining room, sitting room, deck, and roof terrace are all beautifully decorated and available to enjoy at any time. It is conveniently located in the town near the bus station, train station, and the water taxi pickup. We highly recommend...

This small hotel is hard to find since it does not have a sign outside. Once there you will definitely feel at home. The owners will great you and serve you tea, show you around and make sure you are comfortable. The decoration, keeping the olden times ambiance plus the creative, artistic details will make you feel very comfortable and...
