Detailed Reviews
This park is efficiently managed. The amenities are maintained to a high standard of cleanliness. There is a lovely pool area which we really valued as the weather was hot, and there is a restaurant on site. To accommodate our motor home, we opted to pay for two smaller sites, as opposed to a large one, as there was little shade in that section of the park. That was probably the only drawback for us. Within a kilometre walk, you can catch a bus or train to Tavira, or a train to Faro, but unfortunately, there was a train strike while we were there, so we were restricted and only stayed 3 nights.

This is a very well organised site, beautifully clean and well maintained. The shower blocks are spacious and the hot water never runs out. Plenty of washing machines and driers and large bbq areas. The warm pool is in a very pretty park like area with plenty of loungers and umbrellas as well as a small area selling drinks , ice creams and sangria, what more can you want. There is no hedging between the vans but at the back of the vans are flowering trees which soften the site and at the end of each row are large colourful bushes and plants.
The supermarket has a small range of goods including fresh bread and the restaurant is one of the best we’ve been to, but book or you won’t get in. There is a cycle route to Tavira which takes about 10 minutes and is a lovely ride, also one to the small secluded beach or turning right out of the site a 5 minute cycle ride to Cabanas.
Everyone wants something different from their holidays but for me Ria da Formosa fits the bill perfectly.

Great campsite, full most of the time, but you can check in when you arrive and there is such a movement of departure and arrival that you can find a place (camper van) while waiting. The small village next door (you go down there on foot) is very nice: there are small supermarkets, shops and restaurants. In the evening it is pleasant and lively. Tavira, next door, is definitely worth a look and the same goes for the restaurants.

We booked this site through the Club. The WiFi did not work all the time we were there.
The supermarket was closed. The receptionists were totally uninterested in anything and not very helpful.
We had a small problem and had to book off 2 nights early. Your electric cable is plugged in by the site staff and they have to unplug it when you leave. When I asked the receptionist to get someone to unplug us all she kept saying is “you pay first”.
This is despite the fact we had paid several weeks in advance !!. She couldn’t be arsed to check the screen and see that we had paid. I wasn’t asking for or expecting any refund or anything like that.
We won’t be back 😢

+1
Decided to take a local short break in our campervan, and chose 2 nights here. Great campsite we'll run with friendly staff. All amenities you need and flat gravel pitches of good size with electric hook up. Has Restaurant that serves good food and a small Supermarket. 15 to 20 minute walk to waterfront esplanade with boardwalk and numerous bars/ cafes/ restaurants. Also within 10 mins walk you have restaurants. €22 a night for camper 2 people and electric. Another one we will go back to.

Large camp site that is all hard standing , pitches vary in size but they are very close together. No greenery to soften the areas or to give shade.
Excellent swimming pool that’s nicely kept.
On site restaurant , shop . Staff quite helpful. Wi fi intermittent.
All facilities are clean and we’ll cared for , washing machines 6 euro.
Walkable to local village in about 10 mins. Restaurants etc there.
Trains and buses into Faro are available. We stayed over a holiday weekend so wanted to get a cab the staff will give you the number but won’t call one for you.

Worst campsite I have ever stayed in, only really for RVs. Tent camping horrible. Ground like concrete. No way to put in pegs. Spaces right next to each other. Cheek by jowl. Nice pool is all I can say. Mercado looks like a "Try to make a meal out of what you find here" challenge. Really bad very long walk to town for restaurants, Slowwwww reception operation. Not camping at all.

Very good Portuguese brewery, despite the waiting time in summer... but the dishes are up to the standard. I also recommend the first lamb chops...6 on the plate and very good quality and cooking.
Simple and impeccable service.

We stayed for 3 nights and found this campsite excellent value for money.
The facilities are very good and everything is laid out very well. The toilets and showers are immaculately clean. The staff are super friendly and all work very hard.
The pool is fantastic too.

I am addicted to this stretch of Eastern Algarve, and it never fails to please me, with its simple, calm, natural beauty. I only come “out of season” so I only have those quiet winter months to go on.. but for me that is a perfect time to walk, soak up the relaxing natural charms and just feel my whole being slow down and leave all the huddle and bustle of my English lifestyle fade away.. bliss!
Especially nice just coming out from Tavira on the ferry - you can only access this place by boat - and then walking out to and along the long golden beach.
Have not stayed at the camping park, as it is always closed whenever I have been on the Island, (February.. April.. October..) but I would guess it’s pretty special place to stay with your family in those busier - far hotter - summer months!
It’s really all about the beach!

Hi, Sorry to be so late answering your question. The answer is "not without the correct satellite dish and receiver."
