Sandro, the manager, gave us everything we wanted. Lovely, spacious apartment which had a view of the pool and sun on the balcony all day. It was clean & comfortable and with so many dishes, cooking equipment, large fridge/freezer we could have hosted dinner for a dozen or more people. The two young girls who worked late afternoon in the bar,...

This is our second time to stay here and we really do like it. The main pool is nice and beside the restaurant and bar. No one is allowed to jump or dive in at this pool and no floats are allowed. There is a kids pool and they can use there floats etc here. The smaller pool at the...

The most striking thing about Tavira Garden is the fact it is located just off a busy A road. The leisurely walk to town is anything but, as lorries and speeding cars roll by on the 250-350 walk to the nearest roundabouts. Crossing requires great care as there are no pedestrian crossings on this stretch . To get round this...

While it is true that one needs to stroll along a busy road for perhaps 250m, the hard shoulder is quite generous and is seldom regarded as a problem. Also, taxis to or from the old town are readily available at a cost of €4 to €5. Ted Mooney.

Fully stocked large kitchen/dining/living great room and really nice backyard with a BBQ pit. Balconies for the three upstairs bedrooms. Perfectly located near the front office, reception, restaurant/bar (good food at reasonable prices), game room, library, pools, and...

We have just spent a week in Tavira garden. We really enjoyed the resort, it has a large pool which you could always get a sun bed around. The pool has a resturant and bar, so you can get. Drink when it gets too hot. There is a great mix of nationalities who stay at the resort. We walked into...

I'm glad you enjoyed your stay in Tavira Garden and thank you for the kind words. The point you make about the apartments being individually owned is an important one, standards can and do vary significantly from one to another. Ted Mooney.

This place was dingy and dirty. It has a kitchen but not so much as a salt shaker for guests. No paper towels or napkins. We were booked for two nights at a beach town and only given two thin towels. There is no air conditioning in the bedroom and the overhead fan and light in the bedroom did not...

Tavira Garden is presented on TripAdvisor as an aparthotel. In fact, it is a condominium. The various apartments are individually owned and, unfortunately, standards vary dramatically. PortuGolf, in common with most owners, goes to great lengths to maintain high standards -- you were definitely not in one of my apartments. You seem to have experienced one of the few embarrassing...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Tavira Garden, Algarve, is a modern holiday rental apartment complex. Set on a low hill looking out to sea over Tavira town, it is an expressionist rendition of the medieval Moorish style. The lush, mature gardens boast an impressive array of palm, carob and ancient olive trees, set off by lovingly tended shrubs and flowers. The family-friendly complex is ideal for those seeking a relaxing location from which to enjoy the sun, sand and sights of the Algarve or the magnificent golf courses, hills and countryside! Disco bars and lager louts are in short supply in Tavira but two night clubs are to be found! The complex has main pool 20mx10m, second pool 15mx6m (plus 2 kids pools), full gym (with personal trainer), tennis, boules, 2 kids play areas. On-site bar, restaurant (off-season opening limited) ensures convenient wining and dining. Large supermarket 300m. Car rental on site (airport drop-off OK) but many visitors walk (10-15 min) or taxi (4 Euros) to town centre. Free WiFi internet on site in Tavira Garden main reception area (guaranteed during office hours). ... more   less
