We are a modest middle class hotel. Built in 1890 and put to a new use as a bed & breakfast; enjoy the charm of our landmark hotel in a friendly, informal atmosphere. Only an 8-10 minute walk from the train station, we are the perfect base to explore the region, close enough to enjoy the best views in town of the Staubbach falls but far enough away to stay dry.

Lovely place to stay. We picked a room with the fall views and mountain view.. We had the valley at out balcony ( by the way very good size). I could not be happier with the location and friendly staff. 100% satisfied!!! I can't wait to go back to the amazingly beautiful

We were fortunate to stay in this wonderful hotel for 4 nights. Requested a room with waterfall view and were not disappointed. We sat on our balcony with a glass of wine and enjoyed the amazing view down the valley and of the Staubbach Falls. The breakfasts were great and

What a great family hotel and what a lovely friendly and help full person the owner/manager is. She gave us lots of good advice about the area. I stayed here for 3 nights over Christmas 2018 with my wife, my son and his wife and their 6 month old baby. Rooms very comfortable

The location is excellent as its only a 10 mins walk from the train station. The room was already done and ready when we checked in. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. The room was comfortable as we'd booked an adjoining room so that means there was only 1 bathroom for

The hotel is within walking distance of the Lauterbrunnen train station. If you don't want to walk, you have the option of taking the yellow Postbus that goes from across the train station (at the cable car station) and get off at the next stop. Then, it's a short walk to the

Dear Eva, Thank you very much for your mail and question. We have two interconnecting family room types. 1, "Quadruple room": This room type consists of two double rooms with an interconnecting door between the rooms. There are two - two beds in each rooms (four beds altogether) and in one of the rooms we can place one fold-out bed for a fifth person; if necessary. (The maximum occupancy of this room type is five people // including babies and children.) There is one bathroom in the quadruple room. It is not in between the rooms and only accessible by walking through one of the rooms. These quadruple rooms have no balcony and are north facing, but they have a wonderful mountain and village view and there is a public balcony on the south side (waterfall view) just across the hall that you are welcome to enjoy. It is not used very often. 2, "Quadruple room with balcony and waterfall view": This room type consists of two rooms with an interconnecting door between the rooms. There are two single beds (they're pushed together usually; but they can be separated slightly) in one room and an adult size bunk bed in the other room (four beds altogether). In this room type there isn't enough place for an extra bed for an additional person. (The maximum occupancy of this room type is four people // including babies and children.) There is one bathroom (in the double room). It is not in between the rooms and only accessible by walking through one of the rooms. This room type has a balcony and it's located on the south side of the building (full valley / waterfall view). I hope this answers your question; but please don't hesitate to get back to us if you have any more questions or need more information. If you'd like; please make a visit on our website where you can find more detailed descriptions of our rooms / categories / booking conditions. Kind regards, Adam Hotel Staubbach

Dear Guests, Thank you very much for your question. We do have three budget double rooms in the attic and they share one bathroom on the same floor. (Each of our attic rooms has a sink inside.) The bathroom is on the same floor but under a slanted roof. (It might be uncomfortable for a tall person.) However there are other public bathrooms on other floors which are not under slanted rooves so usually we suggest that they use the bathroom on the same floor for the WC and then when they want a shower, they can just go down to the next floor. (On the other floors the rooms have an en-suite bathroom / toilette; so the public ones are not used that often.) There are four shared bathrooms / toilets altogether in the house. We hope this answers your question, but please do get back to us if you need more information! Kind regards, Adam Hotel Staubbach

Dear V0naa, Thank you very much for your enquiry. We do have an elevator in the building. We don’t have any rooms on the ground level (the breakfast area / guest lounges / lobby are located there); but almost all our rooms are accessible by elevator (from the ground floor). We do have three small “budget” double rooms although that are located in the attic. These three rooms are only accessible by a small staircase from the third floor. I hope this answers your question; but plese don't hesitate to get back to us if you need more information! Kind regards, Adam Hotel Staubbach

Dear Megan Thank you very much for your enquiry. There are three budget rooms in the attic (shared bathroom, low ceilings and only accessible by small staircase). One of the rooms has a view of the valley and the other two have a view over the village. Please note that we allocate rooms at random to try to be fair to everybody so we cannot guarantee you a view of the waterfall. If you wish to be sure to get a view of the falls and valley you need to book another room type which has a balcony and view of the falls and valley (subject to availability). Please check the room descriptions online carefully. If you have any questions at all, then please do not hesitate to contact us. Kind regards Angie Hotel Staubbach

Hello Sahil, Thank you for your enquiry. The hotel is 10 minutes walk from the train station in Lauterbrunnen. From there you can get to Wengen, Kleine Scheidegg and Jungfrau as well as Mürren and the Schilthorn. Double rooms cost between CHF 160 and CHF 180 per night in the high season including breakfast. If you need further information, please contact us by email and we will be pleased to help. Kind regards Angie Hotel Staubbach
