We had a beautiful room. At the top of the motel with an amazing views over the harbour. Really well presented. .. lovely quality bedding and toiletries.... (we took our used ones with us...too good to throw away). Warm welcome...very friendly and helpful tips on local eateries. Would loved to have stayed longer... maybe next time! Thank you for taking the time to write this review. There are so many great attractions here in Akaroa that one night is definately not enough The views from the top floor rooms are indeed amazing.and are worth the few extra steps and the few extra dollars. Hopefully we will see you some time in the future. Kind Regards Deborah.

We spent 2 nights here just to see Akaroa again after 10 years. The unit was a ground floor one (of 2) with not much view but very large and very comfortable. There are plenty of restaurants nearby and we would recommend La Brasserie highly and if you are to into fish and chips it is only a 10 minute...

Akaroa is such a beautiful little town! Cute studio room, but could use a bit of updating of furniture (our couch & chair looked fairly worn). Good location with a beautiful view. Loved the balcony. Accommodated early check in with no problem, so we could enjoy a nice beach day!

We spent a few days in Akaroa prior to netting our friends who were visiting on board cruise ship Aurora. We were given a warm welcome at check in at the Criterion Motel. Our room in the motel was large, clean and comfy and we had a lovely view out to the harbour. Our unit was serviced daily by a...

Very friendly welcome but was a little puzzled when he told us he had upgraded us for free to a room with a sea view as my reservation clearly stated it was a room with a sea view and the room description even showed the very room he put us in. So if I hadn't had the "free upgrade" I...
