This was by far the nicest place we stayed in on our South Island road trip. The previous night we had stayed at a very shabby hotel in Dunedin. By contrast, the Village Inn was clean and very comfortable. Best of all, it was warm!...More

Phew! We normally have sunshine on 364 days of the year, so just unlucky to have arrived on that one day I guess... :) Safe travels and may the path lead you back to Akaroa some time.

This is the 2nd time I've stayed at the Akaroa Village Inn. A different unit each time and both were spotlessly clean and comfy. I'll have no hesitation coming again. Highly recommended Accom along with super friendly & helpful hosts.
