Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The good thing about the honeymoon suite are the views of the hills, trains, industrial area, supermarket/gas station and ferries, also has a spa bath and the balcony. I say that room can be used as a virtual background for MS Teams Meetings at work. I also managed to get a late check-out and referrals for calling a shuttle from the hotel to the train station, along with a helping hand, getting the 23kg luggage upstairs. However, whoever put those energy efficient LED circular lights didn't do a good job with the finishing touches, it look like a cowboy renovation. Also, my unlimited 4G Internet is more reliable than the WiFi for Streaming content Ondemand (Sorry Sky, but it doesn't cut it, unless the All Black's are playing). However, thanks for allowing me to plug in my Apple TV device for streaming (some Hotels has disabled HDMI access). So if you don't have a deal with your mobile data provider, don't be streaming movies on their WiFi.

Very clean and comfortable motel with good facilities, great parking and handy to the Cook Strait ferries. So touched by the friendly staff, one of whom went so out of her way that when she found my son's stuffed rabbit left in his bed she called me to let me know and then drove it down to us at the ferry terminal. Recommended.

Stayed 3 nights while exploring the area. Location is really good - about 10 min walk to shops, restaurants, the ferry terminal and visor centre. n it literally across the street from a decent supermarket. On the negative side it is also very close to the railway line - used by slow but heavy freight trains. But they did not disturb us. The room was quite large & comfortable, with a small kitchen area and a decent bathroom. It even had a small balcony, overlooking the street. We arrived by bus, but there was plenty of room for parking.

Nice room, very clean and tidy, the bathroom was great, good shower pressure too. The internet was a bit intermittent but generally very good. Nice and close to town, easy walking distance… A little pricey for what you get, but otherwise a very good place to stay

Lovely clean and modern accommodation and friendly staff. Lovely and clean and were accommodating when we arrived late in the afternoon. Nothing was a problem. Nice and close to restaurants, a short 1-4 minute walk.

We had a big day of travel ahead of us, and we had requested a late checkout when we checked in the night before, which we were given until 11am. We got a loud knock on the door at 9.30am saying our late checkout had been revoked and we needed to be out by 10am so the cleaners could come. We were already pretty upset about the leaf blowing and commotion directly outside our room well before 9am, but it just made it more obvious that the noise had been made on purpose as he wanted us awake and out before our agreed time. Would not recommend staying here ever. If you have a chance of any issues, he's not the type of person you want to be dealing with!

We stayed before and after doing the Queen Charlotte hike, with the honeymoon suite and luxurious spa bath for afterwards. David went out of his way to be helpful, also giving us breakfast packs for our last morning. It was handy to the wharf and supermarket. We’d happily stay again.

The Broadway Motel is a good base for exploring Picton and around. There is a lot to see and it is not just a ferry terminal.. The motel is in the town within easy walking to all amenities. The rooms a great with everything one would need. There is plenty of parking on site.
