We were very disappointed with Sherrington (Grange) - it is definitely a farmhouse experience with few of the luxuries we were expecting. the rooms are spartan and the bathroom is cold and bare and has to be shared - luckily for us we were the only guests so we had it to ourselves. The pictures on the website are misleading... More

I don't expect 5* hotel standards & service from a B&B; I do expect clean & comfortable beds, good bathroom facilities and friendly hosts. Sherrington Grange provided that and more. Both Lisa & Julia are friendly, interesting hosts who went out of their way to provide us with all we needed during our stay with good recommendations on local walks... More

Having read the info on Sherrington Grange in Trip advisor we were not anticipating a 5 star B & B. We were the only guests and were made feel most welcome by Lisa and Julie. Loved the whole cheese experience. Great base to further explore the Sounds and have somewhere homely to come back to. Not everybody’s cup of tea... More

Comfortable bed and spacious room, great location and view of the sound, house keeping lacked cleaning, spartan bathroom. Brakfast not fresh, not representative of what was expected from a farm with apparent home grown produce - lot of the grocery packaging was "home brand"... Dinner was inedible with no choice No on farm particpation opportunities offered.

We were looking for a country experience after spending a week on the Queen Charlotte track. And we found it. Goats, sheep. Water birds. A beautiful sound and a great history. The owner, and our host, Lisa provided us a wonderful experience with the animals and by ourselves. Tasty food. Neat to have the goat cheese made right on site.... More

My Mum and I wanted a special get away night before she returned to the UK. Our stay at Sherrington was fantastic, with a wonderful welcome and made feel part of their family. Their remote location makes a fantastic get-away for anyone wanting to experience the real NZ, with real NZ food, living and wonderful people. We had dinner there... More

Having read the info on the Sherrington Grange website we were all anticipating a top notch B & B. Prior to travelling we were asked if we had and food allergies and food preferences - this boded well for great food...or so we thought. Our preference was for seafood and given the location thought this would be an easy task.... More

This is an absolutely lovely B&B. We stayed in the Duncan Room for four nights. The room is spacious, elegant (although sparingly appointed), with a lot of light from the windows and the sliding glass door to the deck. The king bed is comfortable. The bathroom is good-sized but simple, although I could have wished for a little more water... More
