We spent the first two nights of a 1-month New Zealand holiday in the Nikau Room at the McCormick house in mid-November. We loved everything about our stay: the decor, comfort, all the lovely small touches, beautiful garden, friendly kitty, delicious breakfast, and most of all hosts Jeanne and Carl. Our hosts not only provided good information for our trip,...

My husband and I visited Picton for a few days as we wanted to return to walk some more of the Queen Charlotte Track. It's a beautiful place surrounded by magnificent scenery. Our home for 3 days, McCormick House, was equally splendid. The owners, Jeanne and Carl, were very friendly and welcoming - really lovely people - who made our...

We stayed for two nights back in Oct 2015 (sorry for delay in reviewing!!) Carl came to pick us up off the ferry from Wellington. On our visit we were the only guests staying, and after we had a bit of time to relax from our journey, Carl offered to give us a lift back into the town. He took...

For many people Picton is a town they pass through when catching the ferry, but we stayed here for a few days and enjoyed touring the sites and walking in Queen Charlotte Sound. This B+B was convenient for the town and the room was very comfortable and quiet. The hosts were excellent - friendly, helpful and charming.

Carl picked us up at the Interisland Ferry Terminal late in the evening upon our arrival. He also offered to take us to the train station in Picton a couple of days later during our transfer via the Kiwi Railway to Christchurch. He is a very passionate, professional carpenter. The wood work throughout the house is of the finest quality...

Only stayed one night but was very comfortable and quiet. Easy walking distance of Picton. Our hosts were delightful. They gave us a welcome glass of wine with cheese and we were able to have a nice discussion re NZ with them. Breakfast great with 3 types of honey including some 'home grown'. Would recommend.

Wine and cheese were offered on the patio at night with the other guests before having dinner downtown Picton. Breakfast was delicious, served with different types on honey...very...

We stayed here for 2 nights enabling us to visit the Picton area and in particular do a day walk on the Queen Charlotte track. My husband and I stayed at the McCormick House for two nights. Jeanne and Carl are absolutely delightful hosts, and their place is beautiful. Our room was spacious, bright and clean, with nice views and good internet. The house is an easy 5-minute drive to the downtown Picton area. Jeanne and Carl know the area well, so talk to them...

McCormick House is a lovely place to stay with Karl and Jeanne who take loving care of the beautiful grounds. Breakfasts include several choices and were wonderful. Karl is a great tour guide with advice on places to see AND how to get there as well as the best local vinyards. This is truly a special locale.
