We drove from Kaikoura to Picton on our way to Abel Tasman National park. We were hoping to stay in Picton to explore Marlborough Sound but it was raining too much so we kept driving to Nelson. This motel was so affordable and clean, we really enjoyed our stay.

This is a lovely motel situated in walking distance of the Picton Ferry port and in the middle of the main high street with plenty of shops and restaurants around. Despite this the rooms are quiet and a nice size. The guy on reception (sorry I forget his name) was great, showed us around and helped with anything we needed.... More

Owner was very friendly & helpful. Personally showed us to our room. It's in the middle of the township so walking distance to everything. The restaurants around close early. The room was tidy and I can say I slept well. The laundry room was just next door but didn't hear any noise. The other quest staying were friendly as well.... More

I needed a base for visiting friends in the Picton area, and this proved to be a good choice. it is in the centre of the small high street. Rooms are not new but they are well maintained, and include a microwave etc. No breakfast provided but several places very close. And the town itself is a little gem. Probably... More

Kent and Maria are lovely to deal with and very professional at all times. They have a brilliant knowledge of the surrounding restaurants and can point you... More

We spent two nights here...before and after working the Queen Charlotte track. Great location, Kent was the perfect host and his meal recommendations were first class. Good value, clean rooms, hard to beat for the price

As a large family group of 7, we found this to be very good. We had two family rooms which were very clean and comfortable. After a little confusion at check in, which was sorted, we settled the kids and enjoyed our time on the balcony having a quiet drink. Staff were very helpful and some of us had a... More

This motel rates as one of the worst we have ever stayed in.The list of problems are quite long but I will keep it short. The unit was very small, The TV was about 14 inches, with a total of 8 channels, and incredibly bad reception on all of them. The sliding door to the bathroom didn't shut properly. The shower... More
