What a wonderful and varied little island to explore for a couple of days and perfect to stay at Waiheke resort as recommended by a local friend. Enjoyed the sun setting over the trees looking down towards the bay on an idyllic balcony. Very comfortable, well appointed apartment, great breakfasts and friendly, helpful staff.

Stayed here only one night, but wish we had booked it for at least a couple more nights. The small lodge-like unit we stayed in, was just great. Beautiful views out to the ocean, no neighbours looking in and palms outside of our balcony. Best place in NZ to sit and enjoy your morning-coffee or a glass of wine, after...

I was in room 26 with a beautiful view and excellent facilities and amenities. It was first class all the way including heated towel racks, fine shampoo and an excellent breakfast. Waiheke is a beautiful island with memorable wineries and peaceful vistas. The Waiheke Island Resort

Such a lovely place to stay, the pool and our room had a stunning view of palm beach and the restaurant is great value. Staff are knowledgeable, super friendly and helpful. Love that the resort is run off rain water - very economical :)

Spent a couple of days on the island and based on the more recent reviews, decided to give The Waiheke Resort a go, and really glad we did. It's really centrally located, a 5 minute drive to Oneroa, Onetangi and Ostend and close to some lovely beaches. The hotel has recently been refurbished and the rooms are nicely decorated with...

We booked a 2 bedroom villa which was very nice but the service was so below par I would not recommend to anyone - they had a perc for coffee but no bags; no dishwashing stuff/tea towels/wiping cloths; 2 soup for 4 adults; 8 milk; but worst of all no information on the resort; how to find the spa/swimming pools;...

We managed to score a room over the NZ waitangi long weekend and got a two bedroom apartment with a massive balcony over looking the whole of Palm Bay. Lovely! There was heaps of space, 1 King, 1 Queen and 1 fold out double sofa which looked straight out to the ocean. Small kitchen with a fridge and dishwasher too....

Great ride over to this lovely Island. Lots of shops & restaurants. Many things to do. We went to the winery on the eastern side & really enjoyed ourselves. Could have easily spent the whole day here. Our bus/tour guide Daniel was awesome. He was very knowledgeable & helpful for the limited time we had.

Only stayed for one night but the rooms were spacious, clean, dry, light and modern. I think we may have been in a room that had just recently been renovated as everything was new. Lovely views of the sea and nice big bedrooms with comfy beds. Only niggle was that there was no cutlery or teatowels but not a major.

The Waiheke Island Resort had just undergone renovations when we had stayed there in Dec 2015. The renovations were very nice, I think once these are complete the resort will be very gorgeous. The staff was very accommodating and our room was very clean and comfortable. There were great views of the ocean from our room, and it looked like...
