I highly recommend a trip to Trinidad! And Hostal Casa Carlos Sotolongo, an important historic building filled with lovely furniture and art, is in the very best and most beautiful central location. At night the sound of birds singing in the square greets you as you exit the building and the view is incredible. The family is also very special,... More

This is big, old and traditional house as many in the Cuban country side with VERY high ceilings. This hostal is a B&B, privately owned, legally authorized by the government to be run (meaning it is run according to the Cuban law) at the street level. Nice location just across from Plaza Mayor and one block from the Museum and... More

Carlos and his family run a fabulous casa particular right on the main square of Trinidad. I see the other reviewers have said all that needs to be said about the beauty of the house and garden and it's location. All I can say is that they are absolutely right, if you can get a booking here you couldn't do... More

A friend and I stayed at this small Casa for 5 days in November. The room was large and clean; the food was simple and delicious, the courtyard is beautiful and the resident parrots are amusing and bossy. The Casa faces the main square and everything you want to see in town is within easy walking distance. We had some... More

We stayed here for three nights without reservation, then we had to move and Carlos was very helpful in finding us another perfect B&B. At Carlos Sotolongo´s place, you may even think about forgeting whole Trinidad and just read a book in a lovely courtyard of their house. Breakfest ok.

This is the place to stay in Trinidad. Carlos the son speaks English. Super quiet, lovely garden, AC, can't beat the location. Car-free area, facing the main square. If you're here for more than a few days however I would suggest buying your own pillow...

We stayed here for three nights in October 2011 and had a wonderful time. I will definitely stay here again. The cost was reasonable and the you could get really cheap and delicious breakfasts and dinners. Don't waste your time or money eating in restaurants - the food here is better than anywhere! Great location too. The room was nice.... More

My partner and I stayed for week in the home of Carlos and his wife Galinka, its a beautiful old colonial house with spacious rooms and a big courtyard full of tropical plants and banana tree's. Our room was big with an en suite shower/toilet. Only about 20 Cuban cooks a night for us both, which was about £18...with an... More

Even though I didn't stay here I would definitely recommend this place. Especially for non Spanish speaking travelers as Carlos's son speaks perfect English and was the nicest person we met in Cuba. As this was the only address we had, we rocked up here (unfortunately they were full) but they were only too happy to find us a new... More

we reserved 3 nights at this Casa and when we arrived we realized they gave us the wrong address. But since Carlos is pretty famous in town some one was able to guide us there. Unfortunately Carlos wasn't that friendly when he saw us and was pretty surprised for our arrival. So apparently he doesn't keep track of his reservations.... More
