Travellers' Choice
Colonial house built in early 1700, located in the historic center of the city of Trinidad, steps from the main square and the museums. Its original owners were wealthy Real Alvarez family of Spanish origin. The sale of the house has a history turned into legend ... In early 1900 it was sold to the Carles family of Catalan origin, their descendants now live. Maintains its colonial structure: nice living room, corridor, courtyard garden, backyard brick and the ruins of the old garage, with an arc that recalls the ancient grandeur of the era. The house retains the floor of marble from Italy, its 5 bedrooms rooms retaining original windows and doors to the garden, rooms for rent have private baths (water 24 hours at different temperatures).

Hola! Pedro and his family are very helpfull and kind. Our room was big, comfortable and clean, the minibar is always fully charged, the air condition is modern and perfect. The house and the inner garden is beautiful. When we arrived Pedro give us a map and sign everything we need to see in Trinidad. Absolutely 5 stars Pedro! Keep up the good work!

My wife and I came into Trinidad without securing a place to stay. We were very lucky to find Pedro and Teresa. Not only are they so, so sweet, but our room was very comfortable, and they offer a minibar setup with water, beer, and soda, which they offer at about the same price you might spend in the store, not a ripoff at all. Pedro was particularly helpful in helping us change money, arranging transportation to the park and waterfall, and in getting us a colectivo taxi back to Havana. If you stay here, they offer a delicious breakfast or dinner you can enjoy in house without spending the exorbitant prices many places in the area offer. The location is hard to beat, just off of the Plaza Mayor and the Viazul station. We were planning to spend one day in Trinidad, but the helpfulness and amenities here convinced us to spend an extra day despite our relatively short stay in Cuba. Highly recommend.

Located right next to the central bus station, in the middle of the Historic Center in Trinidad, in an old colonial house. The room has 2 beds, a single and double. The beds are made daily. AC and fan in room. The owners are lovely, offering helpful suggestions and recommendations for things to do in and around town, as well as helping with transportation. Pedro came out to meet us when we arrived at the station in town.. Wonderful people to converse with. Breakfast is really good, with fresh bread and homemade pastries alongside the usual fare. Nice garden to dine in, owners also have a balcony with a great view of all of all of old Trinidad. Would definitely stay here again, highly recommended.

A very nice place Pedro and Teresa's house. As a feature the room has a high ceiling, besides the air conditioner and the fan, which is quite cool in such a hot weather as Trinidad. Attention by hosters is nice, being dedicated to give comfortability to their visitors. If you like Cuban history, you may engage in a good conversation with Pedro and Teresa, who are charming and have their own perspective about Cuban reality. Really lovely my days staying in there.
