Birding in Cuba during a winter blizzard in Maine, USA has it's positive affects on you especially when you add in the diverse birding experience of Villa Guajimico. Look for the smallest bat in the world, Butterfly bats, foraging at dusk, a colorful and dynamic sunset among the harden coral reefs of the Jurassic past. A spectacular location with excellent...

Maybe my experience was different than others in that I was part of a small Cuban Tour. But I found the rooms to be very nice and clean, well refreshed each morning with pretty bath towel origami, and liked having my own little cabin. It was quiet enough to hear the ocean waves, food was more than adequate and loved...

Good: -very beautiful location -Nice walking (go see the caves with a local guide!) -Snorkeling/diving on site -Nice accommodations, especially for Cuba -Nice staff (mostly... see warning below) Warning: We traveled with a group and several of us were tricked either by staff at the bar or by housekeeping staff. 1] Shoes were stolen by housekeeping, but returned after a...

I just spent a great few days with a bunch of nice french people at Villa Guajimico, at an ucpa (ucpa.com) week. Villa Guajimico is quiet location approx 40 km from Trinidad and Cienfuegos. Excellent for larger groups, (families, bikers, divers) great sea water pool, bar and restaurant. Local village restaurant is a 5 minute walk away, with excellent food....

I stayed at Guajimico Campimso for one night. The area is amazingly beautiful with limstone cliffs and a tranquil bay which was excellent for snorkling. The whole area was surrounded by natural beauty but unfortunately my experience of the hotel it's self was terrible. The price of the rooms had doubled in a year to 40cuc a night which isn't...

If you are looking for clean accommodations, beautiful views, caves to explore and snorkelling then this is the place for you! The food is what you would expect in Cuba as well. I have been to 5* properties and the food is as good here as at any 5* in Cuba! The room was satisfactory - clean, comfy bed, everything...

If you like a quiet place away from the city, the sound of waves coming ashore, lush green surroundings, great snorkeling and diving and are not too picky about luxury accomodation, then this place is a little paradise set in a small bay with big crabs running about everywhere. The cabin style hotel has a salt water swimming pool, a...

Like most visitors visiting Villa Guajimico we were in transit to Trinidad and therefore only stayed one night. My wife and I were very impressed by the location and took many pictures. Unfortunately that was the only pleasing aspect of the whole stay. The rooms are obviously in need of urgent renovation, the air condition was so deafening, we had...

Stayed at Villa Guajimico overnight here on the way to Trinidad with a group of about 20 of us. The villas are in off the main road and ends at a lovely little bay with a little sandy beach that opens out to the sea. The reception is small and the staff are very pleasant. there are about 50 little...

We were here on a family tour and one night was this stop. Pleased to have separate bungalows though the stairs could be difficult for some also considering any luggage. The pool was nice to have though clearly all the physical plant needs work. The food was very average in my opinion and not as good as some we had...
