The hotel looked close to many of the museums and the National Mall but I didn't realizes just how close everything was until we arrived. The location is excellent for getting to many of the museums and the US Capitol building. It is a little far to get to the Washington

I stayed with this Residence Inn for a weekend friends trip to Washington, DC. Since I was already in town for a conference all week, I took care of arranging the hotel stay as I would arrive before my friends who flew into BWI later in the evening. I contacted the hotel at

Located a little south of the Mall near NASA and FEMA headquarters as well as Museum of the Bible. The hotel staff are without a doubt the friendliest happiest people I've ever met. Know that there is no bar or restaurant in this hotel where rooms are outfitted kitchen suites;

Does this hotel have Smart TVs? (can access Netflix, amazon etc)
No, they're not smart TVs. I brought our Kindle Fire stick with me and plugged that in.

Definitely a smart TV. We used Netflex. Recall there were three other options including Hulu. Amazon prime might well have been the other option. When you check out of the room it automatically signs you out of the site which is nice security feature.

It's only about 3-4 blocks so maybe 10-15 minutes depending on how fast you walk. We felt safe walking around at night.

We drove into D.C. and I have no idea about the metro. I would suggest an uber though.
