Our family (we have a 9 year old son) stayed the week of July 11, 2010. We were fortunate to find The Brookland Inn. The week we decided to travel to DC we could not find a place to stay with a rate that was reasonable. It was at the last minute that I saw a website featuring The Brookland...

I really enjoyed staying here. It was cheaper than some centrally located places, and yet only about a short 5 minute walk to the subway station in a good quiet neighborhood, and a 10 minute ride to the main tourist area. The fridge was stocked with food for breakfast and snacks as well as fruit and cereal and milk- all...

If you are not into a little bit of self-service, skip the Brookland Inn. Also, if you cannot carry your stuff up one or two short flights of stairs. BUT: If you can handle treating the place like a home away from home with some food and drink already there, it's a FABULOUS place to stay. 1. The owner is...

I consider this B and B a find. Came across it in a roundabout way while a number of hotels that were full. We paid half the price the chain hotels were asking. Instead of a standard room with two queen beds which we were looking for we ended up with a suite, small furnished apt really at the Brookland...

Traveled to CUA for admitted student days, loved that it was a short walk from campus in nice residential setting. The apartment could not have been more comfortable . We loved that breakfast was right in our apartment, all the comforts of home while we were away from home. This is a gem,a well kept secret and look forward to staying there...

We spent two nights at The Brookland Inn and found it to be very clean and very comfortable if a little pricey. The bed was perhaps the best hotel bed we've experienced. Upper level rooms would eliminate the noise associated with upper level neighbors.

The staff at The Brookland Inn were very helpful when three of us were stranded for nearly a week in DC because planes to Europe were stopped by volcanic ash. They found very good and flexible solutions for us, and did all they could to reduce our stress levels in a difficult situation. Without the fast and rock-solid Wifi, we...

In the process of relocating to DC for a professional opportunity, I needed a short-term place to stay. I stayed for about 2 weeks. As I looked for a permanent place to stay, the Brookland Inn staff helped me determine where and where not to live and also let me use the office computer (several times a week) to conduct...

I traveled to Washington DC with my daughter for Catholic University of America's Freshman Orientation. Prior to this trip, I researched accommodations; my main objective was proximity to the metrorail, as I was arriving via Amtrak and would not have the convenience of a car. I found this B&B online, quite by accident, but considered it "a find" as it...
