Within walking distance to Union station and a longer but comfortable walk to downtown area. There is a Corner Bakery next door too. Cons: I stayed in...

I was delighted by my stay at the PPH - it is a very short walk from Union Station and an easy stroll to the Capitol and beyond. The rooms are impeccably clean and the staff is extremely friendly. I did have to ask for (and received) a shower cap, which surprised me and suggested to me that there are...

Thank you for your comments and I am sorry you did not have a restful sleep. Our hotel rooms face all sides including an interior alley and I am sure one of those might be more to your liking on another visit. As you mentioned, we are located in the heart of Washington with traffic 24/7 and we recognize that...

This is a very convenient place for those of us who travel to Washington by train -- you can walk right past the long taxi lines at Union Station, and be at the Phoenix Park in minutes. It is also wonderful to have the Dubliner restaurant just an elevator ride away. You can get to most key sights in Washington...

This hotel is true gem. Extremely hospitable staff- Fifi, Charles the doorman, housekeeping staff - all the staff went above and beyond. Although city was busy with groups and tours coming and going, this hotel's staff handled every request professionally. With its great location to key areas near the Capitol, it is perfect weekday and weekend hotel. Tom Harwell
