Yes, this hotel is "dated" as many on here have noted. However, this will appeal to those who appreciate the charm of older buildings, as we do. Our room on the 9th floor was clean and very quiet. True, they provide little in the way of in-room amenities, offering only hand soap, plastic cups, and an ice bucket. But considering...

You have probably seen the other reviews and thought "Oh my God! sounds really bad". But it's really not that bad. I stayed here in October 2011. I was with a group of people and it was chosen for me. That was okay. I stayed on the 3rd floor. Okay, Okay the decor isn't modern but it's not your house...

I stayed at this hotel in October 2011 with a friend during a two week trip to the east coast of USA. The room was dreadful, small, very dated, appeared to be dirty to the extent that I did not want to walk anywhere in the room barefooted. The room was noisy and with very few faciities compared to other...

The good: For the price in DC - this is an oustandingly fabulous hotel. Staff was accomodating and pleasant. Location was primo, we walked to everything we could. Only 3 blocks from the Metro entrance. 2 blocks from Ford's Theater. 3 blocks from the Mall. There is a restaurant/bar in the lobby that had decent club type food, sandwiches, burgers...

Stayed at this hotel for one night in Oct 2011 because of it's convenient location near most of the major attractions and metro stations. The rate was cheap for DC but then again you get what you pay for. The room appeared clean but very outdated, run down and in desperate need of upgrades. This actually made the room feel...

This is my second stay at the Harrington, prompted by my friend's love of this particular hotel's location. Considering the exorbitant prices at some DC hotels, this hotel is considered a bargain. We stayed on a weekend in September 2011; our rate averaged out to be $98 a person, including all the taxes. We had a bedroom with two queen...

Old hotel. Daggy and basic rooms, but was very clean, had a comfy bed, and on the doorstop of the Mall. Compared to other hotels we researched, was the cheapest, and did the job... Just dont expect a new, fancy room! Would definatley recommend if you just need a comfy bed to sleep between sight seeing.

My family of five stayed at this hotel for five nights (Oct 2011). Yes this hotel is out dated but It is hard to find a hotel that will accommodate five people for under $200 per night. We had a family size room, which consisted of two queens (more like two double beds) and a single bed in a separate...

I spent a week at the Harrington Hotel in Washington D.C. and greatly enjoyed every minute. Yes, the hotel is dated, but anyone who has done their research would have already known that and would have been prepared. The rooms were wonderful and of a decent size. The bathrooms were clean and in working order. Overall, the hotel provided a...

Arrived at this hotel on 9/22/11. This hotel was not clean in any way shape or manner. Thermostat on the wall was duct taped. Hotel is very dated. This is not a hotel for parents or business travelers. It may be acceptable for college students visiting their friends at Catholic University but that is it. For $200 (includes taxes) you...
