Without a doubt the Georgetown Marriott, which isn't actually in Georgetown despite its name, is one of the better Marriott hotels in Washington and the metro D.C. area.
In particular, the M Club is one of the best domestically -- it's just too bad the...More
We stayed in the Marriott Georgetown for a long weekend. The accomodations were fantastic, and the staff was great. The location was convenient to all the tourist attractions, and we could not have been happier with the location and the hotel. The gym was clean...More

Second time stayed here. Like many hotels in and around DC, parking is an issue and is very expensive. Here it is $49 a night. There was confusion as to whether less expensive self park was available, but it is not. Only valet at the...More
I attended a conference at the hotel. The rooms were nicely appointed and the conference facilities were perfect for a small to medium sized group. I was able to walk to attractions and very good restaurants.

Perhaps it depends on the room you get. The AC vents in my room were on the wall, but close to the ceiling. I stayed in a room with a two double beds and the bed closest to the vent did get more cooling air than the bed further away.
Now that I think about it, I remember thinking that the AC lacked subtlety. It would blast cold air until the desired temperature was reached. It would blast every 10 minutes or so for about a minute or two at a time instead staying on at a lower but constant speed.
Honestly, it didn't detract from my stay here as I didn't even think to bring up the AC in my full review. I stayed here for four nights.
Hope that helps!
