We have camped in all 50 states and you can't find a park that is better designed anywhere than this one. It's convenient to Denver, Red Rock, Golden and Boulder. Every site is a pull-thru about 80' long. Hookups are in the center. We have a 34' fifth wheel and a full size, extra long bed Dodge Ram. We unhooked... More

One of the best campgrounds we have stayed at. Like the no alcohol over 3.2% usually keeps thing in control. Showers were clean whole park is well looked after. Only complaint and it is only a small one the the evening we were there a bunch of campers moved in and let there dogs run free. Not the fault of... More

We hadn't expected this place to be too much since it was basically in the Denver city limits and had been told that it was pretty open and not "developed". However, when we drove in, we were shocked! Lush grasslands and green rolling lawns that were well maintained and wonderful shade trees all around. The sites are wonderful with lots... More

On our way to Mt Rushmore from AZ we spent one night here. What a beautiful, well maintained park with very nice facilities! Lots of grass & trees, nice lake large enough for water skiing & sailboats. The shower bldg had 4 showers on the women's side, large laundry room & a room with 3 different vending machines. Our RV... Staff at the campground reservations office care about your stay. Everyone seamed concerned about how the conditions were/are in the campground. Any issue were quickly addressed with the park ranger and resolved immediately. Even a sticky water valve got the maintenance folks right out, even though the problem was operator error. I strongly recommend reservations, this is a close in... More

In the past I have given this campground five stars but over the past two or three years things have begun to slip. A lot more cars speeding through the campgrounds all times of the day- Free running pets- A lot more loud parties in the evening- Vehicles parked on the grass/off the roads- In the past years you would... We camped here with two kids in our 5th Wheel RV. These spots are an RVers dream. There is so much space in between spots, it feels luxurious! The sites have concrete pads, but some are more level than others. We have stayed twice. Once in the Buffalo Loop and once in the Gold Rush Loop. You can definitely hear... More

We camped in the RV/Trailer pads and had a wonderful time! There are several mature trees in the area that keep you well shaded during those hot Summer days! The campsites are generously large (or at least they are in campground A). The restrooms are a short walk and are kept nice and clean. We didn't try the laundry facility,... More

Cherry Creek State Park has been in the past an excellent campground. Unfortunately our latest overnight there was disappointing. Clearly the care of the facitilities has gone down. Loose trash litter the parking lots...socks, plastic bottles, etc. To top it off, because of recent issues with homeless folks being in the one campground building that houses restrooms, showers, and laundromat...
