A small, casual and comfortable resort, Belizean Shores is the perfect choice for travelers seeking adventure or peaceful relaxation. Our resort features a brilliant pool, pool side snack service, a fun swim up bar, onsite concierge and one of the island’s highest rated tour operations right onsite. Complimentary kayaks and paddle boards are available during the day along with giant chess, ping pong and a dual basketball/tennis court. Bicycle and golf cart rentals can easily be arranged at the front desk as can waterfront or in-room spa services. Located right on the water, guests can also enjoy swimming in the warm Caribbean right from our dock. Located 3.5 miles north of San Pedro town, the resort is outside of the hustle and bustle of town, yet easily accessible via water taxi or ground taxi service or bicycle or golf cart rental.

We stayed in a beautiful modern one bedroom condo. The pool is new and it is great! Has a swim up bar and a zero entry pool on one side for the little ones. It was never over crowded. I am a beach bum and I wish it was on the actual beach rather than the reef side. But if the

This is a small resort surrounding a great pool. The suites are a bit dated and in need of updating. One of the frustrating items was the placement of air-conditioning units outside each building made mechanical noise a frequent nuisance. If you plan on sitting on your balcony

Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. We are sorry that your stay with us did not match your expectations. We do take the comments that we receive here to heart, and regularly make improvements based on feedback from our guests. Regarding alcohol prices, this is something that is out of our control. Import and duty costs are high in Belize and are most greatly noticed on imported alcohol. One way to stretch your vacation dollar is to choose local beer and spirits rather than imported or to purchase duty-free at the airport on arrival. The exchange rate in practice is US $1= BZ $2. US currency is widely accepted throughout Belize, there is no need to change currency. When paying with US cash, you will be returned change in the Belizean equivalency. Likewise, at ATM's, cash will be distributed in Belize dollars. Thanks again for sharing your comments.

My wife and I attended a wedding last week in Belize and it was our first time there. The drive up from the airport was pleasant, in a nice van and a friendly driver. The condo/hotel was nice but they need to be more accommodating. I asked for a 5 minute ride in the van that

Thanks for taking the time to share your review. We are truly sorry that you were not fully satisfied with your stay at Belizean Shores Resort. While we do offer a resort shuttle on arrival and departure when scheduled in advance, transportation during your stay is not available at this time. Golf cart rental and public water taxi are the two most popular methods of getting around the island during your vacation. A land taxi is also available, but the cost can be quite prohibitive. We do take pride in keeping our grounds and beach in pristine condition. Our staff regularly participates in island-wide cleanups as well. Thanks again for your review.

Down to Belize for the 6th time in a couple of years, yes, I like it here! Usually stay in town at Sunbreeze Hotel but this time mixed it up with 3 nights north at Belizean Shores and 5 South at Banyan Bay where we just checked in. Really liked the resort. Pool and hot tub

We had a fabulous time at Belizian Shores. The pool is fantastic and there are always lounge chairs available. (no need to get up early like in Hawaii!!) The pool bartender Jonathan was wonderful, and there are food options both across the street, and poolside delivery from

Thanks for your question. The first step is to get to Belize. Belize’s International Airport is named Philip Goldson International Airport, code (BZE). Airlines that service BZE include: American, Avianca, Delta, United, TACA, Southwest, COPA and Tropic Air. Guests arriving to Belize can transfer via regional flight to the island of Ambergris Caye, a scenic 17-minute journey that will take you over Belize’s Barrier Reef. Maya Island Air is Belize’s leading, domestic, commercial passenger airline offering Air Travel, Tours, Charters and Freight Services. They operate daily, scheduled flights to several destinations including San Pedro, Dangriga and Placencia. Maya Island Air is your convenient gateway to the many private islands, seaside resorts and mainland activities unique to the country. Let their friendly and courteous staff ensure that your flying needs are met, and your experience with them is the best in Belize! The island’s airstrip is located in San Pedro town. We are pleased to arrange your regional flight; the cost of US$157.75 pp. will simply be added to your account for payment upon booking. Please note that we do not assess a fee for booking your flights; this is simply a service we provide to our guests. Once you land in San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, our representative will meet you and will send you up to our property on the next available transfer. There is a surcharge of US$20 per person for round-trip transportation from San Pedro Town to Belizean Shores Resort, arrival and departure transfers leave once per hour. To have us book your regional flight, please forward via our website, your international itinerary and full names, and we will respond within 48 hours with your flight confirmation and instructions. Please note: Should you decide to make your own transfer arrangements between Belize City and San Pedro, you must provide the details to our office no later than 72 hours prior to your arrival in order to be included on our transfer schedule between San Pedro Town and our property, failure to do so may result in non-availability of transfer service. The other option to get to the island is to take a taxi 25-minutes into Belize City from the Philip Goldson airport and take a ferry 1.5 hours to the island. While this is less expensive than taking a local flight, plan on it taking about 2.5 hours versus about 30 minutes. If taking the ferry, confirm your arrival time and provider with us directly prior to your arrival so that you can be added to our resort transportation, just as with a flight. We hope this is helpful, if you have any other questions, please contact us directly via our website so that we may provide further assistance. Enjoy your stay!

Thanks for your questions. Our dock at Belizean Shores Resort is being used now and further additions are underway. Our tour partner, Tuff E Nuff Tours, has a table for booking excursions near the dock, their tours are currently departing from next door Coco Beach Resort's Dock and excursion center. The surcharge for arrival and departure transfers has been in place as of 1 April, 2018. Kayaks and SUP boards are available through Tuff E Nuff Tours during daylight hours and subject to weather. Sargassum seaweed is in flux at this time, though we are making a constant effort to mitigate it on our shoreline. As others have suggested, Secret Beach on the lee side of the island does not have any and is a great place to enjoy the sea should the Sargassum pick up. Should you have any other questions as your trip approaches, we encourage you to contact us directly via our website. Our team will gladly assist you and ensure that you have the most up-to-date and correct information. Enjoy Belize!

It’s almost cheaper to eat out than to buy groceries. We bought groceries for breakfast and snacks and spent a butt load...but you should def buy breakfast burritos from the man that comes around on his bike every morning, so good!!

Thanks for your question! A 5-gallon filtered water jug is provided in each of our suites and is refilled by housekeeping as needed. All water and ice served in restaurants is made from filtered water. If you have concerns while out and about regarding water, just ask.
