We stayed 7 nights in a ground floor apartment.
The place was perfect for us; nice clean bedroom with big comfortable (if a bit high) bed, decent bathroom although the shower wasn't great, good kitchenette with coffee machine (coffee topped up daily) oven and hob,...More

I have no idea if you could get a cook. You'd probably have to arrange it yourself. Snorkeling off the beach anywhere in Belize would not appeal to me. I never tried, but with all the sea kelp washed up all over the beach everywhere, I was pretty turned off. Take a boat to the reef. If nobody has said this yet, Belize isn't exactly a beach destination unless you take a boat out to the cayes, unfortunately.
