We just completed our 4th visit to Caye Reef as a family and already look forward to the next visit. We have 3 small kids and Bobbi has done everything she can to make our family stay comfortable. The location near the split can’t be beat, the condos are in great shape, the

We spent a week in a second floor condo with another couple. The condo was very clean and well-equipped. The staff met all of our needs and then some! Bobby made sure a golf cart met us at the water taxi and got us settled into the condo. The location is terrific, on the

Great rooms right on the beach, nice pool, wonderful helpful proprietor. Very clean, good beds and showers, well appointed kitchen. Now they have bikes included, which is a terrific way to quickly move about the Caye.

We had a wonderful stay at Caye Reef. The rooms were clean, well-appointed and spacious. The staff was friendly, helpful and unobtrusive. Caye Reef's location near 'the split' at Caye Caulker is close to everything: we could make a left out of the hotel and get to hotspots, or

The location of this property was perfect, right on front street, walking distance to all the shops, restaurants, and The Split. We had condo #2, and the unit itself was large and well-appointed with two full bedrooms with two full baths, a large living room, kitchen, dining

Thanks 'BethanieKay' for taking the time to write such a detailed review. It's always a pleasure to hear that we have made a guest happy, and Bobbi is really happy you appreciated her efforts. The beds actually have firm orthopedic mattresses that then have a memory foam topper. If you do manage to come back, let us know you prefer a firmer bed and we will remove the topper for you. We hope we can host you again soon.

Hi Jen W, All the grocery stores sell liquor too. Most brands are local and cheap, though many well known foreign brands are available at a price. The local rum is excellent. Dr Pepper is not common, but Coke and Pepsi are.

Hi, Posting rules for TA will not let me place hyperlinks here so I have placed a photo at the bottom of the 'Gallery' tab on our web site. The beach has recliners, wooden seats and a wooden bench. Putting recliners on the beach is new so they are not featured in any photos, yet. The beach is fairly casual and not significantly developed (all beaches are public in Belize). There are also some kayaks on the beach that guests can use if they ask the manager. Since the water is shallow other than at The Split, if you want to use a dock for swimming talk to the manager. All docks should be open to the public during day-light hours.

Yes, yes and yes. CayeReef has seats and recliners on the beach; we provide beach towels as well as 'shower' towels; and each apartment has a hair dryer. If you have any more questions, requests or problems, now or after you arrive, just talk to or email the front desk. We hope you have a fabulous stay.

Is there a pier?
Hi, CayeReef itself does not own a pier - there is no space for one as there are piers either side of their beach. The owners of these two piers (Frenchies Diving and Costa Maya) are happy for CayeReef guests to relax on their piers (note that Frenchies pier was damaged in Hurricane Earl and the rebuild is not yet complete). Finally, during daylight hours, any person is allowed access to any pier in Belize (though you need permission to use any furnishings). Hope that helps

Is itpet friendly?
Sorry, pets are not allowed in the hotel rooms. There is an outside cat that lives on the roof of the office and 'Rusty', the manager's old dog, is often in attendance in the yard.

"Each level has a slightly better view of the ocean than the one below it but they are all great."
"All rooms are good but I'd go for the second or third storey for the views."
"The 3rd floor has the best views however rooms on all levels have great views. If you are not a fan of stairs book the lower floors."
"The top floor has best view but you have to climb the stairs. We liked being on the 2nd floor; best of both worlds."
"2nd or 3rd floor are best for views of ocean"
