This place has the most disrespectful person working there by the name of Damian. He has disrespected many women living on caye caulker. How could you have someone that has no respect for women working at a place like this

Best for people who are on a severe budget or traveling and need last minute accommodations I recommend going to the Juice/Farmers' Shop next to Errolyns. There, buy some fruits and veggies, and go to any convenience/grocery store for eggs. Cook at the hostel and save some money/stay healthy for breakfasts. I recommend getting bananas/plantains, and I know apples are also available. Also note that if you bring back empty beer bottles you'll get 25 cent (Belizean) off your next purchase. Beers in stores are sold individually. The location is GREAT. Sunsets can be seen on the west side of the island/on kayak (which are free to use), as long as kayaks are returned promptly after sunset. It is near Errolyns and on the middle/north side of the island close to, well, where everything else is. This is a bare bones hostel, but that's exactly what I was looking for. Oscar and Damien (aka DJ) were very helpful and are almost always present to answer questions (unless they left for the day or are running errands). Oscar was kind enough to refund me when I decided to change my plans and go to San Pedro. He also used his membership so I got a discount on the water taxi. DJ got food from Mama Liz's as a local so I saved some money that way. Many of the people I met decided to extend their stay by several days. To me, that signals that this island and this hostel are of great value, especially if these people had been traveling for months through South America. I met many fantastic people in the common area from literally all over the world. Important note: bring your own water bottle, they provide water! I stayed in the dorm room next to the kitchen. It is hot, but there are fans next to each bed. Expect to sweat and for mosquitos to be present due to the island. There is a powerplant of some sort nearby. I didn't notice the sound most of the time. On many evenings, we could hear beautiful pleasant live singing music (think: country or soft ballads) from the resort next door. Expect to naturally get up around 5-6am because of the sunlight. Bring a lock, an eye mask, and ear plugs because hey, it's a hostel. I recommend max 4 day stay. By day 3 you'll feel relaxed but ready for something new on the island.

One of the worst hostels I have ever stayed at. My friend and I arrived to the hostel a mere 15 minutes late and the owner had left, and we were told that he had given our booking to someone else. We were left with nowhere to stay for the night. The next day we were very calm and went to speak to the owner. He was very very rude and made it out to be our own fault, and he smirked whenever we said anything. Overall, the hostel is falling apart and is so unclean. No running water, definitely no hot water. Do not stay here.

We walked in off the streets and the owner let us feed their cats even though we were not staying on the property. There are a few bungalows and cats everywhere, fenced in and some caged in large outdoor cages. They are on the water and have a pier.

We didn't stay at this hostel but hitched a ride with our case of beer. Thank you so much, we did enjoy the beer and our stay on CC. It's nice people like this hostel employee that make a place what it is.
