We camped for three nights on Maria's front lawn and loved it. It's a little pricey for camping (26US) but that is Belize. But that money gets you the only real sandy beach spot on the whole island where you can sunabathe and enter the water. It's right beside the ferry terminal too which is handy. Maria was really helpful...

This review is only commenting on the camping services at Vega Inn on Easter week 2016. The owner will allow camping on the property that is overlooking the ocean for $13 U.S. a night. Strong HOT showers and bathrooms are provided. The owner will also keep your bags in the office to keep them safe. Beautiful lawn with plenty of...

I spent here one weekend in April 2014. It is not a hotel. It is a privately owned property right in front of the beach. If you are looking for homely atmosphere, its is a nice place to stay. The property is right in front of ferry service. Also every other thing is within walking distance -- after all the...

It was Easter week and most places were fully booked, so we reserved at Vega Inn. The location is great. There is a house and an apartment duplex on the property. The owner lives downstairs in the house. Upstairs is a large suite of rooms (livingroom, bedroom, kitchen) and a second suite containing two bedrooms (4 beds) with access to...

This is a delightful property located in the best position in Cae Caulker right near the ferry stop and amongst the restaurant culture but the sound of palm trees whisper to you as you sit looking at the crystal clear turquiose beaches. The property was a very comfortable stay for 2 couples and 2 singles and would fit more. Maria...

The apartments, across the street from the main inn/house are a good place to stay. They are basic accommodation with two bedrooms, a kitchen dinner and a bathroom. The layout is duplicated upstairs. The walls are not lined but painted which adds to the beach shack feel. There are plenty of windows and fans for ventilation. The building is set...

This place is terrible!!! And extremely overpriced!! I went to Belize for business and decided to stay an extra night and go to so-recommended Caye Caulker. The people at my hotel in Belize City made this reservation on my behalf, not knowing what it was like. We were misled by the fact that the hotel had probably the largest add...

We, along with our daughter and son-in-law, spent nine days in Caye Caulker in late February/early March, in one of the Vega Inn's apartments, about a block from the main Vega Inn. This upstairs two-bedroom apartment is in a building located on its own, locked small garden property, filled with beautiful trees and plants, birds, iguanas. It's very simple and...

The woman that runs this establishment is one MEAN person. Needs to take a course in customer relations. HOLY - Was yelling at me because I gave some food to a starving dog that was on her lot. She could've handled this situation very differently, politely, instead I was very afraid of her. Would never stay at her run down...

There arel two types of rooms in the vega inn. Beach rooms and ones across the street. In both locations the gardens are unkept making it feel dirty and attract gnats and other bugs- both around the area and in the room. The room across the street is loud and noisy. The entrance way is dark and is suggested you...

“Stay away from this hotel.”
  • The looks of the hotel
  • All the bathroom's ventilation is to the inside of the room...
  • This is all the AC you'll get!
  • Light-filled suite
  • A gorgeous sink and mirror, of course worth US$110 per night.
  • The showerhead
  • The bathroom's ceiling. I'm sure that power cable doesn't meet any safety standards!
  • The bathroom of a US$110/night suite!!
