We stayed 3 nights here. We found the microwave and fridge handy, and enjoyed the coffee that was put on in the morning. Good size book swap and also some good reference books for fish and coral. The owner was also helpful RE tours and booking boats. The room was clean and had a good mattress. Water was nice and... More

Here again with Gertrude and her wonderful hospitality for another winter away from the cold. Looking forward to a nice island winter. This is an excellent place for solo or couples to stay for there vacation. Close to everything on the island.

Look it's cheap accommodation, very basic rooms, not much space in rooms, en suite original-retro sink, toilet & shower. Don't expect a great shower, the shower heads needed replacing before I was born. Common area has free coffee, a fridge that keeps nothing cold and lighting that stays on all night and shines into rooms. Most important thing don't drink... More

We stayed here two nights as we couldn't stay at Yuma's the whole time. It was refreshing to have a/c even if the cost went up a bit. We found it much quieter than Yuma's as it's not on the front near the sports bar who play very loud music most nights. Fridge and water facilities available which is a... More

Ocean Pearle Royale was the perfect fit for our budget. The location is great. A short walk to everywhere you would want to go. The room was clean and just what we needed for our short stay. Gertrude is friendly and we enjoyed chatting with her. She provides bottled water in gallon jugs which you can use to re-fill your... More

PROs: very clean, good location near beach, free decent morning coffee and common fridge, honest and responsive owner-manager, A/C in most rooms (but for a fee!) decent cross ventilation; yard and common area good for groups, anti-mosquito device in room, cute resident dog. CONS: very very dated furniture/decor, small rooms with no chairs (at least not in mine!), only one... More

If you're looking for a very simple hotel room that is clean and safe in Caye Caulker, then this is the place for you! The hotel is a short walk away from Caye Caulker's well known local spot called the Split. The hotel is also very near to the beach, which makes up for the hotel's lack of a pool.... More

I just stayed at this Hotel (in one of the cabañas) for 6 nights and I loved it there. Situated in a side street of the main street makes it a Perfect spot for relaxing in a tranquil place...with hammocks! The cabaña was simple but fully equiped with kitchenette, own bathroom and even a TV. The communal area and the... More

I began emailing Gertraud a few weeks before the start of my holiday, along with a few other places, and she was always quick to respond and helpful with my questions. I was staying for a week and she only had a vacancy for part of the trip, but I decided to stay for that time period anyway and look... More

We stayed at Ocean Pearl for 4 nights in February, 2016. For under $35 per night, you can't do better on Caye Caulker. The place is set just off the main drag but still right in the heart of the north end activity - close to the split. It is clean and comfortable and Gertrude, the owner, can provide lots... More
