My boyfriend, myself and a bunch of my friends visited Slickrock at Glovers Reef November 2015. This was my second trip to the island and it was even more fun than I can remember. The food is outstanding, the staff is very informative and friendly. All of the activities were so fun as we are very active people from the... More

We like Slickrock's Long Caye Resort at Glover's Reef so much that we keep coming back. We looked again for another choice, and nowhere else compares for the kind of water-related sports that we so much enjoy. The best part is the snorkeling - kayaking to a different patch reef every day. It is truly remarkable how much variation there... More

We recently spent 7 glorious days on Long Caye. The "camp" is perfect; meticulously clean and well cared for. Though rustic, we had everything we needed and then some. The guides were wonderful; kind, patient and very fun!! Their attention to safety was fantastic. The orientations were great. We learned kayak skills that we actually should have learned many years... More

The island is very remote but that is what is so appealing. The cabanas are right next to the ocean. We brought snacks to eat but there was no need as there was plenty of cookies, all the beer or soda you drink. This place is not for everyone if you expecting amenities. Best time to take shower is in... More

As far as the planning and organization of this trip goes, Slickrock Adventures was excellent. The brochures that they sent and prices they quoted depicted what I experienced. There were no surprises. I highly recommend that you peruse their brochure material, Facebook, and website in order to fully understand the type of vacation you will be having. I travelled there... Thank you so much for the great review, and three years later! We are happy you have such vivid memories of what a great time you had. I just wanted to point out to others reading your review that we don't have hot showers, although I am happy that you remember them that way! Our shower water is heated by... More

We spent one week on the island this past January. It was wonderful. Every day was an adventure depending on the amount of wind. Calm days were great for snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking to other islands. Windy days were the best for wind surfing and kayak surfing, neither of which we had done before. The staff was extremely helpful... More

Paradise waits for you in Belize, actually a few hours by boat off the coast. You can do so much, or so little, you decide. People powered water sports abound. Typical day could start on a paddle board, then a windsurfing lesson. The adventurous can take kite-surfing lessons! You can wind down with amazing snorkeling, or an afternoon volleyball game... Slickrock has it all, and is adding more all the time. I just enjoyed my third trip to Long Caye at Glover's Reef. New this year... SUPSQUATCH (a 16 foot surfboard shaped raft.) on an island with a surf break yards away. Need help? No worries! On this remote tropical island I've met some of the most adventurous, and wonderful... I went to the island with a few friends for a weeklong adventure and we had undoubtedly the best vacation of our adult lives! Slickrock was extremely organized and took care of all of our logistics. The experience at the Slickrock resort on Long Caye is very unique; we thoroughly enjoyed it. The logistics are slightly more involved than your average vacation, since for a weeklong stay (Sat-Sat or Wed-Wed) the resort is only reachable by boat from Belize City (~ 3 hours) and includes an overnight in a hotel on the mainland on either end...
