Isla Marisol missed the mark on expectations. This is truly a budget vacation spot and if you book directly on the website - you're over paying. We were very disappointed in the cabin - screen doors were poorly repaired, we had a 2X4 as a shower curtain rod, shower stall was poorly repaired, poorly installed electrical (no boxes and exposed...

We travelled for four weeks in Belize and this is the only place I would not return to. Read the previous reviews where service was an issue and if they concern you, than I would look elsewhere. As indicated in a previous review, look for an Internet deal if you do decide to stay here, don't book direct. Vegetarians read...

My husband and I recently vacationed at Isla Marisol, February 15-22, 2012. It was a quickly planned trip and we couldn't have been more happy with the results. If you are expecting 5 star quality accommodations, this place is not for you. If you are expecting comfortable accommodations, good meals, rest and relaxation, great diving and snorkeling, and kayaking, this...

My husband and I stayed in a lovely little cabana surrounded by sand and palm trees. The week long stay included a daily scuba and daily snorkel. It was great. The dive master, More, was lots of fun as was the snorkel guide, Seth. The scenery was fabulous. The bar girls were a laugh, too. We highly recommend this trip...

My Husband and I chose the snorkel/ Kayak adventure and had a great trip despite unseasonable rain/ little sun. Snorkeling the various patch reefs (5-10 min. by boat) was absolutely beautiful. Do bring an underwater camera. While you Can snorkel from shore, the darker areas in the photos is sea grass, not reef. So, Do sign up for the snorkel...

My wife and I are both in our late 60's and from northern USA. We made our first vacation trip to Central America and choose Isla Marisol , just based on reading the Trip Advisor reviews. We wanted to snorkel and fish. Although the weather did not cooperate the best during our stay, it was no deterrent to having one...

The lure of a tropical island paradise with all the modern day conveniences without the crowds of "generic" tourists. Isla Marisol is a place to relax, unwind and explore some awesome underwater scenery. The views above water are magnificent too. We are a family of three who eat, sleep and breathe the tourism business, it is our livelihood. Our desire...

what an incredible place, this is one of the worlds best kept secrets, and I own an Adventure Travel Magazine. Eddies place, as I like to call it, feels a lot more like visiting a friend than staying at a resort, only this friend lives in a world heritage site known for the best tropical beaches and waters in the...

I recently spent two weeks in Belize and visited Ambergis, Caye Caulker and Isla Marisol on Glover's Reef The best experience of my trip was undoubtedly Marisol. I went diving and fishing at all three places and feel the experience at Isla Marisol was by far the best. The small island resort is only a few minutes boat ride to...

We had such a fun time at Isla Marisol. I want to preface this review by saying this resort is generally geared to divers. If you want to while away the hours at a Sandals resort this is not quite the same experience. We had problems with the water and toilets almost every day but the fact that you can...
