Staff were pleasant but some do not speak English (only Spanish). Room was okay but no iron or hair dryer, not suitable for business travellers. Be aware they have two locations so specify which one you are staying at when asking for directions. Credit card machine did not work so they may have you pay via paypal or cash. I...

We had a reservation for a room with a balcony. We checked in and paid for our room. The front guest clerk showed us a room with two double beds (no balcony). We asked about the balcony but told none were available. We ended up in a room with a queen bed but no balcony. The air conditioner would not...

I stayed two nights and it was fine for a short stay. I met a really sweet couple staying there and this made my stay enjoyable. I had a room on the first floor which is light and airy. There is a little terrace like space where you can sit. My room was fine, clean and there was AC and...

(+) An elderly lady at the reception allowed us to leave our luggage a day before check in, when we went to Ambergris Caye. She was very helpful as gave a list of restaurants in the vicinity. She even has menus from some of the restaurants, so you can check beforehand what you want to eat. We had a fridge...

$44/night paid for: large room with double and single beds; corner room with access to verandah; mini-kitchen with dishes, refrigerator, microwave; TV with U.S. channels; bathroom with hot water; a long desktop that even has a pullout tray to put your computer at the right level. An amazing value. The downtown location on Hydes Lane (there is another one) is...

I was going to rate this place lower before I spent more time in the country and realized the things I disliked here--no hot water, slow internet, hard to find food and other essentials--is not a fault of Bella Sombra but rather a general Belize problem. From that perspective Bella Sombra (the downtown one, there are two in Belize City)...

I stayed here for 2 nights. I paid US$45 / night. Hotel prices in Belize City are poor value for money ... this budget hotel was the best of a bad bunch. The street was nothing fancy. The area of town was nothing fancy. The hotel, itself was safe and well secured. The room was comfortable but basic.

I stayed here in my very short visit to Belize City. The hotel is located a five minute walk from where the boats to the Cayes are. The room was lovely and so was also the staff I met there. Would most likely stay here again if I ever visit Belize city again.

Upon arrival we got a bit scared, because that area didn't exactly seem very safe. Bunches of guys that looked at us as if we were intruders, which turned out to be false, when one of them helped us to find the hotel parking :) The room was spacious, with two doulbe beds, a small kitchennette with a fridge, microwave....

Very close to the ferries station. Very cute rooms and atmosphere. After being away from modern technology for awhile, we were ecstatic to find AC, TV, and hot showers! The bed was comfortable and we slept great. We even had a mini fridge, microwave, sink, and dishes, which we didn't get to use. We were only there for one night,...
