Duration: 5 nights over Thanksgiving. Single traveler Overall: Wow, what a serene and peaceful property. It was beautifully maintained by the grounds crew. Just know that you are just off the town as a lodge, and not meant to be a resort. The large acreage property is undeveloped which makes the ambiance that much better. This is as close to... More

Surrounded by lush rainforest, I just spent three fabulous nights at the very reasonably priced Maya Mountain Lodge. Our driver Dimas brought is from Belize City and he was a fountain of knowledge. The reception, kitchen, dining room, and housekeeping staff are extraordinarily and genuinely helpful. The Lodge booked me a wonderful cave walking, hiking, and swimming ATM cave tour... More

This was a great place to stay. A little out of the town (about 2km) it is the middle of the jungle with separate accommodation areas. The staff are very pleasant and helpful and appear to be great with kids. They run tours for those interested as well as cooking classes. Many of these are expensive.

When you arrive at Maya Mountain Lodge, you are immediately swept into a lush, stunning, and serene setting. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, as if you've been friends for years. Our room was lovely and spacious, which included a queen size and twin bed donned with colorful Mayan blankets. It was quite rainy during our stay so our... More

Our visit to Maya Mountain Lodge in October of 2016 was great. The cottages were adorable with great water pressure and hammocks. Elmer, Damian, and the rest of the staff were on top of everything and very helpful. The grounds are well maintained and full of beautiful flowers and foliage. The meals served at the lodge were delicious and very... More

I stayed at Maya with my boyfriend for 3 days and it was absolutely wonderful. I wish we could have stayed longer! The grounds were quiet and, being low season in Belize during September, the hotel was far from full. Despite this, there was always a chef on staff for breakfast and dinner, with great coffee any time of day... More

Probably the most beautiful grounds of any hotel I have ever seen. The Serenity is unexplainable. The staff here has one priority , your comfort. The restaurant serves some of the best food that I've had in Belize.

We stayed at Maya Mountain Lodge in mid August 2016 for 3 nights. The staff is exceptionally friendly and the rooms are affordable, clean, and comfortable. It is a short 20-25 minute walk to the heart of San Ignacio, which can easily be done with a taxi as well (4-5 USD). The Lodge provides a lovely respite from the hustle... More

Our staff enjoyed this guest who they recall as is a very pleasant person. We would like to clarify a couple of possible misconceptions. We are quite good at assisting single travelers to connect with great tours. We are a licensed tour operator and can operate any of the tours. We do have a continually changing group of trusted operators... More

From the staff, to the location of this place, and the serenity it provides you laying in a hammock taking in the beautiful nature that surrounds you. I must give this lodge a 5 star. The pictures are spot on except they miss the surrounding plant life, the lodge has private botanical garden and makes you feel like you are... More
