Visit: January 2015 Two worlds in one hotel. You have the main hotel with bar and pool area. Behind the hotel there are cottages is a more traditional way. We stayed in one off the cottages in the garden. They look amazing. Modern and yet still traditional. Spacious, not to hot, very very nice bathroom! The bed was very bad...

The Midas Resort is very convenient to the town of San Ignacio, so if you're staying and don't have a car it's perfect for walking to the market and the shops and restaurants in town. There is no dinner restaurant at Midas, but a decent restaurant next door (Hodes) will deliver to the bar area or even to your room,...

Midas Resort is a budget hotel, which has air conditioning, a nice pool and wi-fi. It's about a ten minute walk to town, which did not feel dangerous at all at nighttime. The rooms weren't luxury, but I suppose you can't expect a luxury room with a budget price. The showers did take forever to get warm, which was frustrating...

If you are in town to do the caves or Tikal this is a great option. Clean comfortable rooms and a nice pool to relax after a long day. It is just on the edge of town. Easy to walk everywhere and there is a fun restaurant right next door. It can get a little loud on the weekends so...

The accommodations were just what we were looking for: private, secure, clean, comfortable and very charming with exotic plants everywhere and even a hammock on our private cabana porch. The staff was excellent. Andrea, who worked the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The owner, Maria, was very helpful in securing great transportation for our excursion to Tikal. The...

Within a safe max 10 minutes lighted walk from energized town you are in a private feeling inland resort. We stayed in a cabana that was very clean; very comfortable king size bed. A large pool bar area made it feel shore like. The staff generously gave any missing item was asked for.

The highlight of this hotel is the swimming pool which is quite large and has a hidden cave under the waterfall, which gave hours of fun for some of our group. There is also a bar overlooking the pool which serves, cocktails and other drinks. Rooms are a good size with TV, air-con and decent shower. Breakfast was adequate. Local...
