Me and my friend stayed here for two nights and found the accommodation excellent. We had a sea front room with incredible views. The hotel is in a great location and the staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming and informative. The room was affordable and the breakfast was delicious also.

Perfect for couples or singles on a budget. Walking distance to the town center and right across the street from the sea shore and parks. My room was very quiet except for the dogs that barked next door but once it was time for bedtime the dogs were very accommodating and must have gone to sleep as well. The room...

-Stayed in room 19A which some mayn't like as right by breakfast site but fine for me. -Arrived incredibly tired and Rosetta who runs the place was incredibly patient and explained a lot of things about Corozal far more than could reasonably be expected. -Room is decent size with nice furniture including fridge. Although shower head doesn't give a wide...

I see now why there are few photographs of the place. There was paint peeling off the walls. There was a huge cockroach crawling on the shower curtain. The hotel was in very poor shape. I chose to stay at the Maya because of its location and the fact it had so many good reviews. Yes, the owner was a...

Luckily, I stayed here this week with a friend, rather than my wife. Although the owners were very polite, the room was scary. The hotel is very old, which is not always a bad thing. There are only a few room there, and I believe our room was the same as the rest. Our room was about a 12 x...

The owner was extremely helpful and kind; it made our stay! Rooms were clean and well equipped. The area was nice and had a nice view. We found a decent bar/restaurant very close by, and town was a short distance away.

More of a B&B or guesthouse than a hotel. It felt European - like a small pensionne I stayed in in Sorrento Italy several years ago. It's an older building but very clean and comfortable. I stayed in a third floor room, and there's no elevator. My window faced a blank wall which was good for privacy, so there was...

First of all Rosita, is extremely kind and accommodating. I was with a group of the 34 and her and her staff went out of their way, ensuring we had breakfast, dinner and a clean room each day. She would give advice on where to go and what areas were safe or not. Definitely would recommend Hotel Maya.

We stayed for 2 nights and would stay again. We had a front room with plenty of traffic noise but nice sea breeze and fan was fine. Bus from Chetumal stops right outside and same for bus to move on to Orange Walk or Belize City.

I have lived in Corozal and have reserved hotel rooms for my family when they visit from abroad and have found that Hotel Maya is a wonderful family type hotel. I would recommend it to everyone. The owner, Rosita May is friendly, kind and a wonderful person.
