The Three Iguanas Villa has 5000 sq ft of upscale design. From the unique upscale bathrooms, marvelous mattresses and kitchens in each suite to the roof top plunge pool and dock stretching along a quiet waterway of Placencia Lagoon. The 3 storey villa has a first floor suite (2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, 1 kitchenette) and 3rd floor suite (with kitchenette) available for rent. Also: AC, ceiling fans, cable TV, on-site parking, combination safes and laundry facilities. Guests also have complementary use of kayaks and bicycles. The beach is a 5 minute walk away and all the amenities of Placencia Village can be reached within a 10 minute walk. Three Iguanas Villa has recently (Oct. 2015) been taken over by Dr Annelise Hagan and Doyle Gardiner. Annelise is a coral reef biologist and has worked in marine park management in Placencia since 2010. Doyle is proprietor of DTOURZ and will be delighted to arrange all your terrestrial and marine excursions. Tour bookings can be made in advance should you wish, or once you are here. Annelise and Doyle (and their cats!) live on the second floor of the villa and look forward to welcoming you to Placencia, and to their beautiful home. They will be delighted to assist you in making your stay the best that it can be!

I had the privilege of staying at 3 Iguanas with a friend for 4 nights in August and I cannot recommend this peaceful spot enough! Located on the canals, it’s a short walk down to the main area of Placencia. The building itself has a gorgeous rooftop pool, perfect for lounging and taking in the views while you relax. My friend and I each had our own rooms at a very affordable rate, connected by a large bathroom. One room had a fridge, so we took advantage of the nearby grocery store to keep snacks and drinks on hand. Both rooms were clean with king sized super comfortable beds. A good wi-fi connection was also available for the times I had to check in with work while on holiday. What can I say? The stay was so amazing!! The room had everything that I needed, also the little things such as a box for leftovers. The hostess Annelise is such a lovely person. She helped me with everything and it felt like home! The same with her boyfriend Doyle, who learned me how to make coconut milk :)). Really loved it and can recommend it!

I stayed with Annelise for two nights and really wished I had more time. The place is absolutely amazing, spotlessly clean, big room and great view from the terrace. I was lucky as I had the top room and the whole place for myself so I basically had a private rooftop pool! Annelise is a great host, gave me a lot of recommendations, helped me find out about the bus and they picked me up and dropped me off in the city. They offer free bike rentals too, which is perfect as you reach the town in 2 minutes - although it is also really quick walking and beach even closer. Perfect spot on the peninsula! Can recommend it 100%!

Annelise is very helpful. She works so hard to make your vacation a memorable one. She really goes out of her way to make everything work. The rooms are comfortable and clean and the bikes she offers are super fun and helpful. 3 Iguanas is a great place to stay in Placencia snd Annelise is wonderful.

I've stayed at Three Iguanas Villa before and honestly, every time I stay it gets better. The rooms are clean, comfortable, well equipped and stylishly decorated. The location is perfect: a quick walk to the village center but on a quiet side street facing a pretty canal. The rooftop plunge pool is not to be missed! Hosts Annelise and Doyle are friendly and knowledgable and able to point you in the direction of whatever you might be seeking. In addition to a comfortable friendly place to stay the property boasts Doyle's Smoke Yaad with the best smoked meats and fish around. And D'Tourz, the best tours on both land and sea are based right there as well. On my most recent visit I met up with a group of friends from the US to celebrate one of their birthdays. Annelise organized everything seamlessly - the rooms, the tours, a perfect birthday including snorkeling, a surprise island lunch and a perfect birthday cake. It was stellar! If you want to enjoy everything Placencia has to offer, Three Iguanas is a great place to stay. I'll be back for sure!…

We’ve just returned from our stay at the 3-Iguanas, Placencia. We cannot recommend this highly enough. Great location, accommodation and Annelise is an absolute gem - a font of knowledge from where to go to where to eat - just wonderful!

Quiet, relaxed, and perfect location! Excellent hosts and easy to schedule a variety of tours with Dtourz. Suites and kitchenettes are set with everything you need. Great lagoon views and company of the resident cats ❤ We cannot emphasize how much we enjoy 3 iguanas - we are repeat visitors and definitely will be returning!! Thank you!!!

My partner and I stayed at 3 Iguanas for 12 days and after seeing what else is available in the area, it was very apparent why their ratings are so good. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The property is beautiful and has a great dock that fronts a harbor canal. They have a very nice boat and Captain that you can charter to fish and snorkel. We used the bikes multiple times a day to ride into the village for meals and excursions, these completely eliminated the need for rental cars or taxis. But by far, the best amenity is Annelise herself. She knows everyone and can facilitate any experience you’re interested in. We will definitely go back to fish and dive in Placencia again and will always stay at 3 Iguanas.

The Three Iguanas Villa is the perfect basecamp for a wonderful stay in Belize. Just a quick flight down the coast from Belize City airport. We loved the 2 garden suites, they are perfect for 2 couples or a family to share the bath and kitchenette, along with the spacious breezeway / patio area outside the two rooms. At the top of the Villa the plunge pool is a great place to cool off, and has a beautiful view. You can also hang out (literally - there are hammocks all around!) and enjoy the breeze under the thatch-roof cabana, or on the docks. The hosts, Annalise and Doyle can set you up with a number of amazing tours right from Three Iguanas. On the water - right from the dock, just steps away from your rooms, and down to Monkey River or out to the Barrier Reef to snorkel. Easy day-trips take you to visit different wildlife sanctuaries and reserves for hiking, swimming, tubing and birding. Take a break between tour days and explore Placencia Village for a great variety of restaurants, bars and shops - all along the soft sand beaches of the Caribbean. What a wonderful getaway we had at 3 Iguanas! Annelise and Doyle are consummate hosts and guides, making sure we were able to make the most of our amazing tours. They have a wealth of local knowledge and are happy to share. We were so well taken care of. Doyle's Smoke Yaad, right next door has fantastic food, as well. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable. I loved getting up early, sitting on the dock watching the birds, or heading to the beach for sunrise. 3 Iguanas is within easy walking distance of great restaurants and shops. Don't miss out on Tutti Frutti gelato! We will be back! Gotta see more birds!!
