Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel our stay at the Farm Inn so I can only trust the other reviews on how amazing the location is. However, Renee reached out to me to offer any assistance she could and I can only imagine how her hospitality extends to those who do get the opportunity to stay. Hopefully, we will be back one day and I can meet in person.

We just spent two days at The Farm Inn Belize and really enjoyed it. The location of the Farm is stunning, surrounded by nature and beauty. We loved walking along the trails through the trees and the creek listening to the sounds of the birds and being led by the resident dogs. It was a treat to wake up surrounded by nature of a different kind. The rooms are lovely and spacious and the pool was absolutely refreshing. We felt so at home. Thank you Renee and Kevin for having us.

I enjoyed my stay at The Farm Inn very much. Our hosts, Renee and Kevin, made our visit a highlight of our trip to Belize. Our lodgings were nestled into the natural surroundings along a stream with a jungle view out every window. Well managed walking paths meandered through the property affording many opportunities to bird watch and see how cocoa trees are farmed. What I will always remember from my stay is how dark the nights were without any light pollution and how infinite the starry skies appeared. I enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of the stream and the relaxing sounds of the jungle. The morning coffee was excellent, our meals delicious, the evening drinks creative and fun and our hosts most welcoming with friendly conversation and stories of their interesting lives and years in Belize.

The charm of The Farm Inn is entirely due to your hosts, Renee and Kevin Brown. You will feel like you are visiting old friends, so relax and make yourself at home! Need something, just ask; special diet, no problem - three of our group of eight requested specific dietary needs and all were very happy with their meals - as were the rest of us! If you are a birder the property is amazing - designed and managed to attract a great variety of species. And while there is much to do on-site - chocolate making, farm tour, swimming pool; visits to nearby Maya sites, national parks, the coast, are easily arranged. The selection of rooms and suites will meet a range of needs and desires. Best of all you will feel like you are experiencing the culture and nature of Belize, not just visiting a resort which happens to be in Belize.

I live in Northern Belize and was pleasantly surprised to see how uncongested and well maintained the roads around the Farm Inn are for starters. Set in the jungle with beautifully manicured grounds, nice lodging and delicious food and drink. I was impressed by the silence broken only by jungle bird and animal calls in this unpopulated corner of an unpopulated country.. Kevin and Renee provide a pleasant ambiance and great conversation. There are also waterfalls, ruins and caves just minutes from the this lodge, great experience!

Had a wonderful overnight stay with a group of 8 people and could not have asked for a better location to just sit back, listen to the creek and gaze at the stars at night. Very relaxing and peaceful. Kevin, Rene and the staff were wonderful hosts and made you feel right at home. The food was very good and service was excellent. Will definitely recommend to others. Oh and lets not forget about the fury friends that were very eager to greet you. They were all adorable.

We had the most amazing stay in our wood pecker casita at the Farm Inn. Our host's Renee and Kevin and their four super loving fur babies made us feel right at home. The land is incredible living in the jungle on the cacao farm which we were able to tour. WE loved everything about our stay , most of all the peace being at one with nature and the animals and the beautiful birds and delicious food and chocolate. We love that this is off the beaten track and not full of tourists.. it is a very special and sacred place which we would hightly recommend to anyone

This was my first visit to Belize and our hosts could not have made for a better experience. I have a food allergy which can be tricky to navigate when you travel. Renee made a point of making sure all meals accommodated me. The food was superbly delicious! The grounds were absolutely amazing with trails that allowed you to bird or nature watch to your heart's content. We were there to bird and were not disappointed! The Farm Inn is set off the beaten path so there's no light or noise pollution to ruin your experience. On a clear night you'll get the best view of the Milky Way, can hear the tree frogs sing, and perhaps a mottled owl if you're lucky. Their German Shepards are extremely friendly and make you feel totally safe on the property. I regret that we didn't spend more time there. I would have loved to explore the cacao operation and taken a dip in the pool. We stayed in the Toucan and it was a lovely room with comfortable accommodations. The Farm is "off the grid" and the generator is only run for a few hours at night - so make sure you charge your devices and shower early! Another hour of power would provide more time to use the pool, etc. I would definitely return to the Toledo District and stay at the Farm Inn again. There's certainly something for everyone!

The Farm Inn is a lovely ecolodge in the rain forest. It is teeming with birds and wildlife. Friendly German shepherds chaperone guests around the property. There is a pool, hiking trails, and the rain forest. The rooms are comfortable but a bit rustic, with solar power and limited generator and battery power at night—all the better for going to bed early to get up with the dawn chorus. Renee and Kevin Brown are great hosts, and Renee is an avid birder and knows terrific guides.

The pictures cannot do it justice. This is a slice of heaven in my opinion. I've can sit for hours in dozens of places around this property just watching and listening. Kevin is the ultimate host and has become a good friend. Staff is on top of it.
