We enjoyed our stay at Vecchia Toscane. The service was perfect and the rooms and surroundings quite idyllic. Serious drawback is the location quite far from the town's center (20 minute walk). At night, when the beach and roads are deserted and dark, you don't want to walk that far to your hotel. Summary: + Friendly service + Nice food...

Splendido. That's the best word to describe 'Vecchia Toscana' in Livingston. We had arrived into Livingston from Rio Dulce and having spent the previous two weeks travelling around Guatemala. Some people didn't seem too positive about Livingston before we got there, but I liked it. It is certainly a unique town but really is enjoyable to spend a few days....

I was staying in this hotel for two weeks and honestly is the best of Livingston and Rio Dulce. It is very comfortable, you can compare a perfect place to rest and relax, the attentions of Iván and Daniela are some of the kindest Italian and attentive to that one can find. We would fly back to Livingston ONLY to be at this place!!! Livingston is truly cool and romantic... do not expect Cancun. Food was fantastic (remember that Langouste by the sea?...those Matriciana Pasta?) our hosts were both attentive and friendly in a classy whimsical environment.... watching the numerous varieties of birds flying above the palm trees from the swimming pool.......

Great place with a nice Italian touch. The owners are extremely friendly and always willing to help. The gardens are simply beautiful and the pool is very relaxing. The food is excellent especially the lobster. If travel assistance is needed, Daniela and Ismael are very informative and could save you some time and money. I recommend the trip to the...

My 2 friends (a couple) and I recently spent 2 nights at this hotel. We had been traveling for a while off the beaten path, and decided to stay a bit upscale for a couple nights to recoup, and I'm glad we chose this place. I had a single room with queen bed, and my friends had one of the...

We stayed at this place for three nights last march 2013. I had reserved a "bungalow" on the beach. What a disappointment. The "bungalow" was a cabin with hardly any space downstairs! The beach was nothing special. We could not even sit downstairs because there was no room. All the space was occupied by the bathroom and the stairs to...
