The resort caters to diving groups, but worked well for our tour group as well. Built on a hill overlooking the water, most rooms are large and have great views. The inclusive package featured alcohol, a pool, snorkeling, kayaks, paddle boards and palapas on the...More
We enjoyed our stay at this resort. The staff was helpful, friendly and welcoming. Some of the food was great, other items not so great. The buffets included a good variety of food. Some of the items I enjoyed the most were the homemade local...More
The resort is at a beautiful location on the beach. Our room had a balcony overlooking the sea. The rooms are similar to a low to middle end hotel in the states, but were clean enough and big enough, but no chairs.

We enjoyed a lovely week at Turquoise Bay in August/September. We did seem to stay during a highly atypical time, with only 8 weekday guests during our visit.
We stayed in an ocean view room which was comfortable & well appointed. The balcony provided a...More
Attentive and helpful staff both at the resort and the affiliated Subway dive shop next door. Good food, wonderful sunsets, well tended grounds, and lots to explore under the waves. All in all a great week.

Yes, there is an electronic safe in the bedroom. They also have a guard station at the entrance to the resort. The location of the resort seems VERY safe. It is the main land in Honduras that is not safe...the locals will tell you that. We traveled to the west end to do a little site seeing and shopping. It was very pleasant. The locals are very friendly. The island seems fine. I do recommend bringing bug spray as well. I did get bit up quite a bit...the itching took about a week to go away.

I think they were about six dollars for a mixed drink like gin and tonic or rum and coke. If you and your spouse are going to have three each a day I would recommend the beverage package, but buy it before you arrive, from your travel agent if possible. I did not and asked when I arrived and the price kept going up until it was not worth it.
